We hired Mac to complete a single storey extension which involved digging foundations, removing internal walls and installing a number of RSJs. Mac completed all of the work ahead of the tight schedule that we asked for as we had our first baby in the way. His workmanship was high quality throughout the project, he was dedicated and did not have multiple jobs on the go at once unlike other builders. we couldn’t be happier with the result and would hire Mac again for any future work. Mac was very friendly and approachable through the project and always had time to listen to our requests and even gave me some tips on other DIY projected had going simultaneously! I have no negative words to say about him.

Frank and his team worked like Trojans in the heat to complete a redesign of our deck. From initial discussions about plans and options through to a decision, Frank was incredibly helpful in achieving a vision that would suit our space. My wife and I had a patio laid by Southdown Groundwork’s in October 2022 and for the last 14 months I have regretted it. It has caused so much annoyance I will eventually end up paying someone again to rip it all up and start again. There has been so many issues from loose slabs, the pointing which was used constantly coming out or breaking apart despite them coming back redo it for a second time in 2023, and now infestations of slugs and snails underneath the slabs were the sides have been left wide open and exposed. The sides of the path are not straight even though it was laid on an existing path which was straight and the gaps and depths of each slab are completely different and in some places do not even have any concrete under at all which has allowed water to seep through the pointing to the underside. It’s a complete mess.

Darryl did a great job of lifting and replacing my rotting decking. It was completed in the time-frame, and on budget. A perfect finish and everything left clean and tidy on completion. I would certainly recommend him. In fact my neighbour is going to have him do a similar makeover in her garden.

Was very nervous about hiring another landscaper after a disastrous experience with another company earlier in the year, but Rick reassured me all would be fine, he has a great laid back personality even when I must have bombarded him with all my questions, nothing was a problem. He took up an old patio, path and two steps, replaced them with porcelain tiles and limestone edging pavers and created two steps for me. I’ve now got a sloped patio (as it should be) which will now drain (it didn’t before) and my front doorstep is a lovely feature now. He certainly knows his stuff, I’m really pleased with how it all turned out. Highly recommended.
