Please be careful when hiring this person. We had agreed on a price and the day before starting the work, I had messaged to confirm with him the price and at that point, he had increased his price. I had showed him the text message confirming the price, however he was adamant with the increase. He didn't start the work so I wasn't left in a mess but from his reviews, it appears this has happened to another person.

Had initial quote and agreed a price in October 2020. But since then had to chase 5 times when trying to arrange a start date after a couple of promises were made but broken. Very frustrating as calls and e mails not being answered and time wasted getting quote and agreeing job details. Very unreliable.

I would not recommend using this builder. The only positive thing I can say is 'He turned up on time'... unfortunately he is not the carpenter/builder/tiler he pretends to be. On several occasions my husband and myself had to do the labour work for him as he does not have enough backup. He has left our house with numerous problems including two doors with handles at different heights and a heating system control that has been boarded over....and of course now he is uncontactable. Don't use this so called builder

A very bad joiner and would advise potential clients to stay clear of this joiner. Does not take pride in the work and left me with a swimming pool in the flat roof and then tried telling me to pay more to rectify his own fault. Absolute messer never use again and stole all my garden equipment.

Overall I am pleased with how the fence looks, the materials look good. Although Mr Little visited the property to give a quote for the works he decided the quote was too low & needed to add a sum of almost £700 extra. This shows unprofessionalism. The work ethic was some of the most bizarre I have ever seen, over 4 days the gentleman from LO Property arrived at different times, getting later throughout the week.They stood around looking at their mobiles much more than I would have liked. The 1st day only 3 concrete posts were removed, I understand much cannot be done on the first day due to deliveries and such but there were 2 of them. There was plenty of work to be getting on with, it felt very unorganised. The 2nd day, half of the concrete post fence was put up, that is much more like the level of work I would come to expect, however this did not last long as on the 3rd day it was yet another doss day. The final day was a complete rush, the job was finished but it was obvious it was rushed. A lot of rubbish was left; a few small tools were left. I wanted to mention the 2 gentlemen that did most of the labour were very polite and professional. Unfortunately I can't say the same for Mr Little, I was not kept updated with the works and the plan of action of each day. He avoided eye contact with me when I did talk with him, when I saw him in the garden mostly he was on his mobile. I just got the feeling he didn't need this job & didn’t want to do it.

My experience with Scott has been a nightmare. I contracted him to fit a kitchen, replace doors and skirting. I asked him if he was qualified to lay Karndean flooring and he said he was. However, he subcontracted the floor laying to someone else without consulting me. The flooring was laid which cost a lot of money and the job was substandard with several issues ranging from scratches, big gaps and several boards not stuck down. Scott agreed with my concerns initially and said he would return with the floorer to put things right. When he returned the floorer was aggressive and threatened to return to my home to sort me out. This left me afraid in my own home. Some amendments were made but there are still several issues and an independent specialist report recommends the floor is lifted completely. I have been trying to get Scott to repair the floor for four months but he says I should be grateful to have such a nice home. He has attacked me on a personal level rather than take responsibility for his error of judgment. It is fair to say that this situation is unfortunate because Scott trusted the floorer but he was let down. However, it was Scott I contracted so it is his responsibility to put things right. But he abdicates responsibility. I’ve tried hard to resolve this informally but Scott refuses to engage so I now have to take formal action which I really hoped to avoid.

New Kitchen unit fitted by Mark not good finishing and did not responded to calls after getting paid in full with is totally disappointing, now we have to hire a new carpenter to complete his unfinished work. wouldn’t recommend anybody.

Installed some doors and few skirting boards. Poor worksmanship, toilet door lock faulty and refused to turn up to replace or fix. Doors not properly trimmed also refused to turn up to address issue. Will not recommend.

Reece answered the advert quickly and arrived few days later, with 2 x colleagues, to carry out the works. We felt it was rushed, and they left around 3pm having quoted a day rate, to go to another job. Afterwards we had to carry out remedial works, filling mitred joints on skirting and remove and replacement of doors stops for example. Other works was discussed and dates agreed. These dates were changed by Reece a few times, and the start time on the appointed day got later, and later, until finally I got a message to say find someone else as they were too busy. Therefore I can not recommend RAB carpentry and joinery for any work.
