Can’t comment on Corey’s work because the job was not performed (fitting doors). Communication was poor after I gave him the job - as allegedly he ‘didn’t receive notifications on his phone’ when I text him to check he was still available to start on the date agreed. Then eventually 2 days before starting, and just after I’d had all the materials delivered, he sent me a message informing me his tools had been stolen 3days earlier and would not now be able to start the job. Make of that what you will… Lesson learned on my part, pick up the phone and call the tradesperson to get updates. But works both ways and giving your customer no working days notice of issues that arise some days earlier that might impact the jobs start date is not a great way to operate as a self employed trades person.

I was very pleased with the work SAJ carried out for me - He turned up when he said he would and at very short notice - worked steadily and conscientiously and adjusted flexibly to the unexpected challenges of an unseen, non-standard kitchen fitting job which included (after checking with us) going out and obtaining parts he discovered we needed and completing the job all in one day. I was so impressed that I paid him more than he asked for. Quality should be rewarded.

Tommy did a great job in trying circumstances! Helping me settle into a new-build he's put up shelves, small cupboards, heavy pictures and mirrors, curtain rails, and all the "odd jobs" that I'm not strong enough to do. It was a bit of nightmare for him, the detector (for wires/pipes/studs) beeped almost non-stop in many places - how this house was built is a mystery! He was patient and helpful.
