Hello, ABOUT ME; My name is Ron, I have my own vehicle. I've been in construction for 10 years now. Ive always had happy clients content with my work. Im a great problem solver and capable handyman. I am polite, reliable and pride myself on my cleanliness. I am comfortable around dogs and pets etc. MY WORK HISTORY; I started gardening when I was a teenager, then went on to painting and decorating. Set up my own company, painted some nice houses in Brighton once upon a time. I can wallpaper and all my decoration is to a high standard. Then moved onto site carpentry, finding work on Eco builds and specialising in passive house. Which is a highly energy efficient standard of building. I very much enjoy bathroom design and install. I myself can do basic like for like plumbing. I work along side plumbers and electricians. I have installed bathrooms with WUFH and EUFH. I have tiled all the bathrooms myself. I am capable in all wet trades. I have a keen eye for tiling designs. I can plaster and skim. I am also sufficient in lime plastering. Having used brands like adaptive lime plaster. Afterwards, I was a site manager for ecological retrofit company in Bristol. Using natural materials to renovate and insulate homes. This included the use of Hempcrete, IP (insulating plaster), recycled foam glass, Wood fibre board and would fibre bats. I am confident in understanding the properties of breathable materials, that are needed to be used in older properties with lime based mortar. Using appropriate plaster and paint to finish. I have worked on my own, I have worked as part of a team, and I have run and managed teams and projects. As I've always been an outdoor person it was quite natural to switch from being an office worker to owning my gardening business. I spent decades under neon lights staring at a computer screen not knowing neither the time nor the life outside. I got tired of being disconnected from the nature that's why I become a full time gardener. I started as a weekend job up until 2022 when I gathered all my courage and left my well paid position at a transport company. No regret apart from the one that I should have done it a lot earlier. Now I'm designing, landscaping, building gardens and also maintaining them if required. I'm also taking on tree surgery jobs as well and as an extra I'm doing carpentry as I always loved working with wood and create something satisfying.
