I have employed up to 20 employees at any one time and build projects from £20k up to £12m for individual clients. I’m Craig Cooper I have been a Carpenter for 18 Years. I began my career completing my apprenticeship with a Wokingham based builder carrying out New build, extension and renovation jobs around Reading and the surrounding areas. Whilst working for this company I gained a wealth of experience in all aspects of carpentry including cut and trussed roofs, timber framing, kitchens and 1st and 2nd fix carpentry, this work was always carried out to a high standard. After gaining enough experience and confidence I then began working on other new build and extension projects independently this includes all the structural, 1st and 2nd fix carpentry on a variety of new build and extension projects most notably the installation of all the hard wood decking to the new cancer unit at Guys Hospital in London and kitchen installation and 2nd fix work at Sainsbury’s headquarters in Holborn London. I am based in Reading and am prepared to travel and cover all the surrounding areas. I love all aspects of my job but particularly enjoy cut roofs as I believe this requires a lot of knowledge and skill to carry out properly. All of my work is completed to a high standard and good communication between myself and my customers is very important

Hi, I'm Craig a self employed Carpenter. I have been in the industry for 13 years. I began my career with a high quality builder in Wokingham where I worked for 5 years earning my NVQ in Site Carpentry. The work there included a mixture of renovation, extension and new build projects aswell as Kitchens and bathrooms. Upon leaving i was presented with an opportunity to move into the commercial side of the industry working in shop fitting carrying out 2nd fix and kitchen installation for Sainsburys both in there stores and in there offices in Holborn and Coventry. During this period I also worked at Guys Hospital installing hardwood decking to the balcony and break out areas in the new cancer wards. I also have a lot of experience in the structural side of Carpentry I.e Truss roofs, hand cut roofs, Joisting and staircases which I gained from working for various builders, my own clients and time spent on new build projects. I am based in Reading and am prepared to travel. I do enjoy hand cutting roofs but am equally at home inside hanging doors and carrying out the 2nd fix side of Carpentry. I believe in carrying out all jobs to the best of my ability, and that good communication beetween myself and my client is a must
