I had two projects for Alex to look at. He offered a suggestion for one and went away with the wall cabinet for the other. It has returned as a beautiful piece of furniture. So much so that the place we were going to hang it has been altered to our main room so it is more on show. Would not hesitate but recommend Alex and his work

I had three quotes and Chris was the most competitive for the job. He was able to come and assess the job soon after making contact and provided a quote quickly afterwards. He was accommodating on timescales and on the day he and Dylan turned up bang on time and got to work quickly. He took care with mess and cleaned up well after the job. Chris consulted with me on little design decisions that needed to be made on the day and the end result is a very good job boxing in my Ikea bookcases that I just need to paint (I hadn’t asked him to do this for me). I’ve got the result I wanted for a fraction of the price of custom built cabinets. Chris is a super friendly guy who was happy to advise me on some questions I had about possible works in my home. We have two nosy dogs who love to acquaint themselves with whomever comes to the house and he and Dylan were great with them. I’d definitely hire him again.

The early part of my years being in both first and second fit carpentry and in the later years transitioned into bespoke furniture making, please take a look at the gallery to see some of the projects I have completed. This was always a passion of mine and was making furniture many years before it became my primary professional focus. I have worked in the construction industry coming up to 15 years, a large portion of that was with a building company that worked on small projects such as kitchen/bathroom installation to large projects such as loft conversions and wrap round extensions. This has allowed me to gain a lot of experience in many different building professions and work on a wide range of different property types. This passion became a business in 2019 during the COVID Pandemic when I was unable to work and needed something to occupy my mind and keep me busy. Later in 2019 I was able to return to work but continued to accept small projects and grow the business in my spare time. In April of 2022, I decided to leave my job and work full time on CliveCrafts. I have not looked back since! A big part of my company ethos is customer service, and I strive to make any job I attend be a pleasant experience for all customers. This is done first with my demeanour, being polite and conducting myself in a professional manner. Secondly, when working onsite, being sure that I am organised and leaving my working area clean and tidy upon completion of the job.
