I am an old fashioned apprentice taught builder who has been in the building trade for 20 years. I have been self employed for 8 years. I do a lot of commercial building as I am an IKEA contractor for about 20 weeks of the year. During this time I build roomsets which include joinery work, laminate flooring, kitchen fitting, tiling and plastering. I've clocked up thousands of hours of flatpack builds, including teaching flatpack assembly at IKEA, and I've completed over 1,000 flatpack tasks. I'm fast, methodical, and offer disassembly as well as assembly. I've also handled office and shop installations and removals for retailers and city firms across Leeds and Harrogate, so I'm comfortable with commercial jobs too. I'm a capable general handyman — I've carried out property maintenance and taught carpentry and building skills as a design and engineering teacher.
