We appreciated that we could pay using a credit card with this company. They provided nice drawings of the bedroom furniture layout including sliding doors for en-suite bathroom. We had a good communication through emails even though I would prefer to go over the design in person as I think it would be more time efficient. Even though we agreed certain type of drawers during installation we found these were changed to a different design without letting us know in advance. One of the sliding door have screws visible on the side but not on other door and one joint is unsightly but luckily it’s inside the bathroom in the corner. after the installation some of the drawers’ glued side strips started to peel. Luxiva was quick to come to fix this but it spoiled our experience.

It’s always nerve racking to select a trades person on here that has no feedback but got Modestas to come and quote because looking at the work he has put up from a carpentry point of view he clearly knew what he was doing. After getting quotes I decided to go ahead with Modestas to construct my pitch roof and to then do the facials and soffits. I’m really happy with the work and timely manor he had it done in. He is good value for money, very tidy and will be getting him in for further work in the coming weeks. If you have him in a shortlist I would 100% recommend this guy.

James was lovely, friendly and polite. He came across as very professional in the way he quoted the work, although I had to remind him for the quote Unfortunately his quality of work was not as expected. He underestimated time for job to do and left paintwork very thin and patchy, holes were very rough and unsightly James did came back and rectify the problems but I was disappointed in the time it all took.

Adrian produced (1) a shelving solution for our basement (2) shoe and coat storage in our hallway (3) utility room storage for a washer and dryer and (4) a radiator cover. Everything was done to an extremely high standard. Adrian was cost competitive and a pleasure to deal with, always leaving the house impeccably tidy and even fitting in some odd jobs that were not part of the main work. Would highly recommend.

Aman and his team did the understairs cupboards to a very high standard and at competitive rate. Was so pleased with his work that we booked him to do the utility room. This was done to a very high standard as well that we further booked him to do wardrobes in 5 bedrooms and a media wall. He’s a genuinely nice person and cares so much about keeping his customer satisfied, he handled every change made without fuss, was just an absolute pleasure to deal with. He has been recommended to friends who have booked him for jobs and would recommend him without hesitation to anyone looking to do a customised/ made to fit furniture. Markel completed the job on time, before Christmas. The plan was to build two alcove cupboards, redecorate the whole room and then lay a new wood floor. The job turned out to be more complicated than originally thought, mainly due to damp floorboards and a wall. Markel was very helpful, laying new floorboards, treating the wall and then laying a whole new floor as well as completing the initial job. Scheduling an appointment for the quote, the actual job plus payment were all very easy. The job has been completed as we wanted, we are pleased. We would definitely use VM Carpentry again.
