I have worked on set building for most of my career, on high fashion photoshoots and television. This has given me the skills and knowledge required to competently find solutions to problems. Having my own workshop means that I can cause minimal disruption in your home, producing everything in the workshop and only being on site for the fitting!

Ciaran presented himself very well, his website looked very professional, he came prepared with sketches and invoices. Please be advised, he is a young carpenter with very little experience which became evident half way through the project. I had to raise it with Trading Standards. His quote for the job was extremely high (over £1700 for 2 shelves and a folding door), but as I was promised a great looking finish, I decided to go ahead and book him. Half way through the install I started noticing all the issues around the design and build of the items: dimensions were wrong, materials chosen were wrong, there were nails coming through, the wooden panels were wonky and warped, chipped and broken, he forgot the wardrobe door will need a frame, which caused a delay to the project, etc. Ciaran came across as a dishonest trader: he refused to provide me with receipts for materials bought and, on some occasions, charged 6 times more than it costs online. He left the job unfinished and refused to issue a refund for all the mistakes made. Ciaran argued his workmanship is great and offered a tiny refund of a couple of hundred pounds as a goodwill gesture denying any liability for the poorly executed items or services or overcharged material costs. He offered to fix some items FOC however because of the poor workmanship experienced, as well as how stressful this was, I refused all free of charge offers.

Daniel did a great job installing 35 square meters of skirting board and scotia throughout our new property, as well as trimming doors in order to place new thresholds underneath. Good communicator and very dedicated to the job. I would recommend and hire again!

We hired Weliton to turn a small toilet opening onto a doorway into an en-suite for a bedroom. His work was absolutely superb and he has an attention to detail that I've not seen in a long time before or after. He is a diligent and trustworthy worker and I highly recommend him for any work.

WARNING DO NOT HIRE We have recently redone our whole flat and We asker Zachary to box in some pipe work, lay laminate floor, install skirtking boards and radiator cover and then paint wood work which ended up costing £2700 even though th quote was for much less we think he did this to get the job over the other quotes we received The standard of work was absolutely shocking and sadly we were away whilst he finishers and he pushed us into paying before we could see it claiming he needed it desperately (I know rookie mistake on our part) He claimed he sanded down the wood work but everything was rough to the touch and had old paint chips coming through. after hiring another tradman to Put it right they told me he had not even applied a top coat and had only painted with primer after emailing back and forth for weeks he after first denying our issues promised to come fix the issues however after pestering him for over a month this did not materialise and he didn’t get in contact with us. The laminate flooring is coming away from the walls and some of the joints are not clicked in place properly we are gutted we used him and not somewith more feedback We won’t be making that mistake ever again. The skirting board has huge bits of dried glue coming out on some of the edges honestly I don’t know how he could leave a job like this - some people have no shame! DO NOT HIRE THIS GUY! It’s always nerve racking to select a trades person on here that has no feedback but got Modestas to come and quote because looking at the work he has put up from a carpentry point of view he clearly knew what he was doing. After getting quotes I decided to go ahead with Modestas to construct my pitch roof and to then do the facials and soffits. I’m really happy with the work and timely manor he had it done in. He is good value for money, very tidy and will be getting him in for further work in the coming weeks. If you have him in a shortlist I would 100% recommend this guy.

Jack Day did an excellent job for us of building a bar in our new log cabin. Jack kept us fully informed via text of when he could do the work and progress. Jack was very helpful suggesting the cladding and colour scheme to match the building. The finished job was very sturdy and looks great. The price was good & Jack kept us informed of any extras and then offered to clear all left over wood including some we had from previous work. I would hesitate to recommend Jack for similar carpentry work. Jack was very proficient and did an excellent job in a quick turn around time.

At the start I found vasil friendly knowledgable and keen to get the job. He Quoted the whole job would take 4 days fand was the cheapest quote received but didn't finish on fourth day as expected. Stated he will be back on Wednesday but failed turn up and said later on he had To go work and would be over Saturday. Turned up Saturday with friend to complete the job. When he said he had finished I Went over the job and pointed out errors such as door hinges missing screws which he responded screws are rubbish instead of asking for new screws he was happy leaving a number of doors hanging with 1 screw on each hinge. Three of the six door stoppers were not pinned in level so the door either kicked out at the bottom of forward. Instead of just doing the adjustments he decided to argue saying I was looking for an excuse not To pay him. Refused leave my house until I paid him and was shouting so I called the police and he left prior to them arriving. Prior to starting He had never mentioned he wanted payment on daily rate until he finished first day work which I didn't like but agreed as his work was good. In summary His work is very good and I would prefer him to have completed the work and do adjustments but he attitude of someone making errors to avoid being paid is wrong. Made a little mess but cleaned up most of it. Would say use him if you can agree with payment terms and snagging on a daily basis.

PM Building epitomise what a modern day, professional building firm should aspire to be. Transparent pricing, a friendly team working 6, sometimes 7 days a week to get the job done quickly, an eye for detail and very high standard of final finish. All comms and the overall work is run through Bart, who answers to phone, text or email quickly and frequently outside normal working hours. This is ideal if you work during the day and cannot be around to oversee things directly. We also got PM Building to make us a bespoke kitchen, again very high quality and millimetre perfect. If I had to find some negatives, they are not the cheapest company you could find, but there again you get what you pay for; also, we developed a few issues with some retaining walls in the garden, however, they returned when I contacted them long after the work had finished and fixed them! All in all, an excellent, honest and professional company to deal with. I would, and have, recommended them to friends...nuff said.

Absolutely delighted with our new fitted wardrobe with sliding doors! The whole service from start to finish was excellent. From the initial measuring, to the quick and professional plan and 3D design showing exactly how it would look, everything was explained clearly and designed exactly how we wanted it. The work was carried out perfectly, to a very high standard, and the service was incredibly quick and efficient. We couldn’t be happier with the finished wardrobe it looks fantastic!
