Abdul was incredible. He listened to what I wanted, talked through options and offered some great solutions. Abdul provided an accurate quote and timeframe for the work. He worked so hard with huge attention to detail. He was so keen that the work was top-notch - and it was. I absolutely love the cabinet and shelves he has built which have transformed my home. Abdul's work is fantastic but he is also a great guy and trust-worthy; a professional for a real passion for his work. I highly recommend him to everybody - you will not be disappointed!

Dale O'Reily and his assistant Charlie Prime of Broadway Carpentry & Prime Carpentry respectively were hired through Broadway Carpentry's interest in the project posted on My Builder. Their pace of work was good and the standard of work was fair. Their work needed overseeing as their experience is limited and neither could work from the drawings very well without help understanding them. However, despite being given an excellent opportunity, both tradesman chose to dishonour the agreement set out on commission payments for their labour. Charlie Prime owes me over £680 that he is refusing to pay despite numerous efforts on my part over the last year or so to recover the money. Dale decided to stop paying me the commission payments once I had left the job even though he continued to work on the project for several months after. As a result I was very disappointed in Dale and Charlie as they had real potential. They still have a lot to learn. Unfortunately I would not recommend these two tradesman as they do not stand by their word and a tradesman that cannot be fully trusted is a liability.

The job was to provide a set of bookshelves, with built-in bedside table. Kurt and his painter Daniel were very polite and friendly, really efficient and impressively tidy, both during the job and afterwards. Kurt was patient with my periodic indecision and changes of mind, and we ended up with a solution that has really improved the look of the room and created a home for some of my collection of books. We are organising a follow-up and I will be very happy to plan this with Kurt and for him to do the job.

Mark arrived on the day and on time to see the job & offer a quote. His prposed method was different to expectations, but definitely better & his pricing was open & transparent,giving a price for his time & separately for materials. His availability was good so his offer was accepted. A few days before the job was due to be done he rang to say that his price for materials was too low,in view of the current constant escalation of material prices, & were his services still required. His pricing was still accepatable. His work was excellent & he completed some extras at no additional costs. Very happy with the price,the quality of the work & his personal approach & attitude. Thoroughly recommended.

Dan made the job really easy. Communication was immediate and constant. He arrived when he said he would. He explained clearly what he was going to do and alternative options if that didn't work and checked that I was happy with that. All in all the job was completed within an hour, with no mess. I found Dan to be really friendly and easy to chat to. He was knowledgeable and obviously skilled in his trade. I will definitely use his services again if need be, in the future.
