Great question, consumers are inundated with emails and offers whether they are about cost savings measures or sales, etc. It all becomes a blur and more challenging. If you’re introducing yourself to a potential client in person, do a little research on who they are and what they do. When you introduce yourself tell them how you were intrigued or interested in how they executed XYZ. When they finish telling you about the process , then advise what you do and how it is related and how you can help. Make the connection and show how what you know and can offer will in fact benefit them. Try not to make it like a sales pitch. Be casual about it

I have over 20 years’ experience in the construction industry, with a strong hands on background in carpentry and general building, alongside several years working in site management. I undertake a range of carpentry and home improvement work, including doors, skirting and architraves, flooring, boxing-in, repairs, alterations and general second-fix work. I take pride in producing a good-quality finish, keeping the work area clean and tidy, and communicating clearly with customers throughout the job. I’m reliable, approachable and happy to discuss the best way to carry out a job before any work begins.
