Do not hire this individual whatever you do. He is highly unprofessional and condescending when you try to ask him any questions, he clearly doesn’t know what he is doing and just wings it. Always makes out the fault lies with wall or the part but never his lack of skill/competence. He fitted the bracket wrong way round and when I told him this he denied it until he was forced to face facts. The tv is tilting forward and he told me that’s how it supposed to be when the diagram says otherwise and it is supposed to rest flat on the wall. I now have to pay a competent person to come and fix his mistakes! I would give him 0 stars if I could! Avoid like the plague!!!

Markel completed the job on time, before Christmas. The plan was to build two alcove cupboards, redecorate the whole room and then lay a new wood floor. The job turned out to be more complicated than originally thought, mainly due to damp floorboards and a wall. Markel was very helpful, laying new floorboards, treating the wall and then laying a whole new floor as well as completing the initial job. Scheduling an appointment for the quote, the actual job plus payment were all very easy. The job has been completed as we wanted, we are pleased. We would definitely use VM Carpentry again.

Waldi and Raf had to take over from the construction of a walk-in wardrobe from the last guy who was useless. They were meticulous in their work, working a full day (unlike some of the amateurs on here) and they produced some excellent joinery. Their attention to detail over the construction of drawers was second to none. They even took on the painting of the units at the end. And best of all, they did a proper clean-up of the area as there was a lot of dust (some many tradesmen do not know how to do this). I'm not one to be impressed easily, but I was blessed to meet these guys who were polite, punctual and hard working. I hope to have them back. Thank you guys!
