I have been working for over 40 years and have had a vast experience of all types of carpentry and joinery, as well as plenty of general building experience too. I am expert in Carpentry and joinery but able to turn my hand to other trades at times too. I am meticulous, diligent and conscientious with all my work at all times and I love a challenge. Hi, I have been doing carpentry since I left school and actually before I left working weekends with my Father for sharps bedrooms. After I completed my apprenticeship aged 19 I went self employed and started to work on new build sites pitching roofs and mostly doing 1st fix works. As I got slowly dispondant with new build works because of the lack of care for finishing and a general lack of pride I started to take on full refurbs and working for local builders. In this time I learnt a lot about other trades and how best to organise working with them to make sure everyone could do their best work. I am 42 now and this is the only career I have ever done so I think it’s fair to say that I have a good amount of experience obviously with carpentry, but also making sure the client gets what they wanted with as little drama as possible. I usually ask for pictures of the job in some cases to enable me to give an idea of price, I show respect and treat customers with respect, all I ask in return is not to be insulted with trying to haggle my price also please tell me if you don’t want me to do the job, a simple “thanks for the quote but no thanks “ costs you nothing.

Our main focus is on small to medium size refurbs, the kind of jobs where we can be creative and come up with unique solutions, whether that be a kitchen, bathroom, bedroom or a living room. I hate big firms who just re-sell mass manufactured products, so I try to keep as much of the work, from the initial design and drawings through hand making all of my joinery in the workshop to install and completion done in house, with the exception of plumbing and electrical work for which I use people who are a lot more qualified and experienced than me!
