Peter was the on-site foreman on our complete house renovation, which took just over a year. This included an additional ensuite pod bedroom in the roof and a side-return and extension to the kitchen. Peter was totally reliable throughout the project and thoroughly professional. Throughout this time we were living in the house with the children. He was always on time, managed the on-site team well and communicated clearly with us. His workmanship is high quality and he was also a stickler for checking the work of others and getting it updated if it wasn’t up to scratch. I have no hesitation in recommending Peter.

He also excels in project managing larger projects with exceptional vision and communication, and the all-important quality assuring of all other craftsmen on a project; the result being a beautifully executed design with very few, if any, snagging issues. Ciaran presented himself very well, his website looked very professional, he came prepared with sketches and invoices. Please be advised, he is a young carpenter with very little experience which became evident half way through the project. I had to raise it with Trading Standards. His quote for the job was extremely high (over £1700 for 2 shelves and a folding door), but as I was promised a great looking finish, I decided to go ahead and book him. Half way through the install I started noticing all the issues around the design and build of the items: dimensions were wrong, materials chosen were wrong, there were nails coming through, the wooden panels were wonky and warped, chipped and broken, he forgot the wardrobe door will need a frame, which caused a delay to the project, etc. Ciaran came across as a dishonest trader: he refused to provide me with receipts for materials bought and, on some occasions, charged 6 times more than it costs online. He left the job unfinished and refused to issue a refund for all the mistakes made. Ciaran argued his workmanship is great and offered a tiny refund of a couple of hundred pounds as a goodwill gesture denying any liability for the poorly executed items or services or overcharged material costs. He offered to fix some items FOC however because of the poor workmanship experienced, as well as how stressful this was, I refused all free of charge offers.

I highly recommend Justin’s work. He was very quick to get back to me and to quote on the job and once we discussed the job he quickly understood what I wanted and we agreed on it. Justin arrived early and did a superb job! The shelves and cupboard unit look great and were done within a short amount of time. Justin was also careful with my furniture and cleaned up any dust after finishing the job. We will be contacting him again for further jobs.
