Bogdan was efficient and professional. He did the few jobs that needed doing straight away and for a very competitive price. He was flexible around when I could be at home and kept me updated with when and what he was planning to do and took away all the rubbish and tidied after himself once the jobs were done. Everything was completed in the time he had set and to a good level.

Amazing how quickly our problem was solved. Very reasonable rate, job finished within an hour and and a half. No mess, Jim took away all the rubbish and swept the entire area. Strongly recommend The Bromley Carpenter and will in fact be using his expertise shortly on another job.

Hi, I have been doing carpentry since I left school and actually before I left working weekends with my Father for sharps bedrooms. After I completed my apprenticeship aged 19 I went self employed and started to work on new build sites pitching roofs and mostly doing 1st fix works. As I got slowly dispondant with new build works because of the lack of care for finishing and a general lack of pride I started to take on full refurbs and working for local builders. In this time I learnt a lot about other trades and how best to organise working with them to make sure everyone could do their best work. I am 42 now and this is the only career I have ever done so I think it’s fair to say that I have a good amount of experience obviously with carpentry, but also making sure the client gets what they wanted with as little drama as possible. I would like to bring to your attention the unfortunate situation I have had to face with the carpenter. After inspecting the job on-site, we agreed on a price of £1500 to complete four pocket doors with door furniture, install a timber box lined with insulation around the bioethanol fireplace/TV doors, create small cupboards to box on the manifold and the electric meter, and one large cupboard under the stairs. However, the carpenter failed to deliver on his promises and demanded the full amount, changing the quote from a project quote to a per day quote (mind you, he and another guy worked for 2 days). Despite my trust in his abilities, he only completed three pocket doors without any door furniture and installed the timber around the bioethanol fireplace/TV doors. The cupboards created to box on the manifold is too closed in, making it impossible to service the manifold. The carpenter also failed to deliver the large cupboard under the stairs, citing a lack of time, which he “leveraged” to help his colleague install the remaining pocket doors, which never happened. As a result, I had to pay extra to install the other pocket doors (which was done in 20mins by another carpenter), door furnitures, and now, redo the manifold box. I am extremely disappointed with the quality of work and the lack of professionalism displayed by the carpenter. I hate writing negative reviews for small businesses but I hope this serves as a cautionary tale for anyone considering hiring him.
