We were very happy with the quality of workmanship from Richard James Joinery & Building services there attention to detail was excellent. Rick gave us good advice during the build and communicated with us throughout. Although the extension took longer than expected due to builder holidays etc we preferred that the job wasn't rushed and the attention to detail was maintained.We would definitely use Rick again.We give him 5 stars!

I really dislike leaving bad reviews but I have to in this case as we are so disappointed with the lack of professionalism. From the start Communication was poor with me having to constantly chase with multiple no shows from start to finish. We paid the deposit mid June and have been left with our skirting boards in a mess, half finished cupboards (which don't close) and no replies. A foot injury was mentioned in one of the last messages - we would be understanding had the communication not been so bad before this, and if we could simply either agree a date, or out of common courtesy, be told he couldn't finish the job - rather than just being ignored. Last message on July 27th stated he'd sort someone to come and finish the job or come and supervise the job himself, and we have heard nothing since. Very disappointed and upset.

DS purchased and replaced two internal doors task completed satisfactory removed an existing shelf in an airing cupboard and another small joinery Job. Was supposed to be completing other work in kitchen on receipt of material had no communication with DS since early July. However DS only provided one receipt which was for one of the internal doors and was provided with cash when we were asked to a total of £410. Therefore under the circumstances I would certainly not be using him again.
