Michael and his team were professional courteous pleasant and helpful. They cut the grass dug over borders cut back plants corrected a neighbours fence on my side of the garden. Kept me up to date with what they were doing also suggested ways to make things easier for myself and suggested a built up border for the front. . Work they did was of a very high standard. Please people save yourselves and move on to the next tradesman. All the work by Paul Stoker was condemned by both quality surveyor and building inspector. The whole lot had to be knocked to the ground. Comprehensive reports were compiled with unbelievable faults from foundation course out by 35mm from front to the back of property, weak cement mixes (from using Fairy liquid - 7 different colours on just one wall, side walls height out by 65mm, bond out so brick on brick, to name just a few. All neighbours complained about the constant shouting, swearing and arguing from the site. His labourers (track suit bottoms gang) looked as if they were on parole from HMP. Alarm bells should have rang when he turned up with only a spirit level and trowel, l had to supply cement mixers, generator and even tape measures and buckets! Was taken in by his 'been doing it for 40yrs and tools nicked' story. I paid him up front for work that was not done and what was was beyond substandard. Police even caught one of his people stealing from my site! All I can say is go with you instincts. If someone turns up with a cigarette hanging out their mouth, flea bitten clothes and teeth that look like he's eating a packet of Quavers, say 'thanks but no thanks'.
