Latest review:Conversions - General-James gave me a very detailed quote - he arrived and started off the work and left it in the hands of some employees of his. They made several mistakes throughout the job, including completely failing to put up the dust protection, and as such my house was caked in dust for weeks. He only gave me a tiny discount because of this. Several items on the quote were not used - especially cleaning items - when I questioned it he said ' it's a standard item of my quote'. He took pictures of the work and promised to send it off to building standards for the completion cert. of the building warrant. Almost 1 year down the line of me constantly chasing him, he has not sent me or the council the photos, and has been VERY rude to me when I have been chasing him to do it, despite me being extremely patient with him. The electrician he hired to do my spotlights it turns out also did a bad job, with one spot light becoming defective after a few months, no electrical certificate was given for the works either. The guy himself knows his way around a building site, but the organisation behind anything else is god-awful.

Latest review:Repointing-Kevin was really quick at replying to my ad for windows to have the pointing re-done. He arrived at my property the next day for a full evaluation, he was thorough and explained how they would carry out the repairs. He gave me a very reasonable price and arrived promptly the next morning to begin. All 7 windows of a tenement flat were completed that day and there was no mess left behind. Kevin said he could match the original sandstone and was very professional with the work carried out. Really happy with the finish on the windows and the overall service was fantastic. Would highly recommend.
He come out was very nice we had moisture coming in are windows upstairs we thought it was mastic around the windows needing replaced but after William had a look it turned out to be the pointing around the windows was needing redone so we just got the whole side repointed and we are so glad we did month on no moisture and the wall looks lovely

Latest review:Repointing-A good trademan is difficult to find. When you find one you keep 'hold' of them. We needed a section of a garden wall next to a public path rebuilt for Mrs F, which was leaning, needed made safe (rebuilt if required) and repointed. We got several quotes, but the skills, knowledge and first meeting quote dicussion (Barry turned up to look at the garden wall to the minute) and subsequent clear and detailed quote from Barry gave Mrs F and myself good vibes. Mrs F is a very astute lady and advised the following on job completion: "Barry observed full covid regulations. Punctual, respectful and fully explained what he was going to do. Carried out the work well mindful of people on pavement and is very safety aware. I liked his cheerful chatter. A job well done. I would have no hesitation in recommending Barry to carry out work for my friends and neighbours." Barry is a consumate gentleman. Some trademen may be good at what they do but often lack in the communication area. Not Barry! His time keeping, explanations and communication/emails were superb. He also tidied up after his work which is a thing not often done by some tradesmen. Barrys work was first class. Barry sets a v high standard all tradesmen should ultimately aim for.
