The worst of the worst!! I find him on my builder's website, not too many reviews but he's on the beginning... Anyway, agreed with the price no bargain no cutting money. He done the job fast and messy, I didn't complain as it's a building site after all. Three external brick walls out of plumb all three, gap for window right size but not in angle, I had to change the window order... I've completed the job with someone else as Mr Thomas wouldn't bother to answer the phone. I'm a contractor myself and I wonder how these guys manage to get jobs!?!?

Cancelled on me late on the night before the job was supposed to start. These things happen but nice for more notice. Rescheduled work which was to replace 3 door frames and fit new doors and furniture. After a few days the doors started sticking. Informed Dion who said he wasn't in the area. I tried to be patient to allow him to pop over when in the area, but 2.5 months later he's ignoring my messages. He also hung one door on the wrong side so now i need to pay an electrician to move the light switch and pay someone to come fix his mess. I don't think he used enough fixings on the frames. Dion is a joiner in the father/son team he told me.........

Did some good work but let us down when not accepting responsibility for his failure to commission a bore hole filtration installation that did not give us clear water for 6 months. We only found out when I employed and paid Anglian water to come out to check the system and they reported that it had never worked since installation as he did not open the air valve and so there was no chance that the iron could be put into suspension so the next cylinder could filter it properly. They opened the valve and the water is 70 cleaner - I suggest to Ben he paid £115 for the Anglian visit and install one 5 micron filter at his cost so we get the clear water he promised before being awarded the contract. I have not heard from him after this reasonable compensation request for 6 months yellow water that children will not bath in, guests are concerned with and will not drink. So would not hire him again

Started well but all went pare shape. Site left in a mess, sand and cement slopped over upvc windows, unable to follow direction or plans, walls not parallel at openings, refused to return to put things right despite being paid and asked politely a number of times.

Con artist! Avoid and report. Said he was a bricklayer..he's not! Ruined our wall and wasted our materials. Left us to sort his mess whilst he ran with our money. We put our trust in him and was very nice to him when we see there was something going wrong. We thought a young man starting out..so gave him a chance to put things right. He should have talked to us and tried to resolve matters. Seeing as he has given false details to My Builder he obviously had wrong idea's in his head. My builder has tried to contact him. We need to find him as we intend to persue this fraudster through the courts. Any information please pass it on. He lives in the Hexham area,drives a white old Citroen berlingo van.

I cannot say how disappointed I am with this contractor, I asked him to put down boards on my grass, he never, I asked him to put a slope on the slab, he never, I asked him to put a slope on the Aco drain and he never, I asked him to power float it, he even quoted me to power float it and he never, during the concrete pour he was not even going to put in any DPM until I asked him and when I did ask him he said "If you want some" same when I asked him to put in steel reinforcements, the whole job was a disaster but worse than that he never came up with any ideas how to put it right, I suggested one option of putting one part of it right and he even cocked that up but the worse thing about this contractor was the fact he kept saying he would not leave me in the lurch, but he did, I even offered him the chance to put it right but he just pretty much walked away (by mutual consent) The concrete slab after 8 days has all cracked and the screed he put on the walkway has all broken away after 5 days and worst of all the whole area looks like a bomb has hit it as it has been left so uneven that other contractors have said that it is the worse job they have ever seen, Dan and the boys nice enough blokes but seem to have no clue how to lay a large concrete slab even after I told them twice what I wanted and made clear the pitfalls after having done this twice before.

Joe was very friendly and came and gave us a quote in January - we agreed to go ahead and were very disappointed that a week before he was due to start in April he stopped replying to any messages. He has let us down at the last moment meaning there is not time to find a replacement to do the job at the required time.

He arrived early each day which was good, however, half way through my (extended) job he asked me to pay him half the amount owing which I immediately did. As soon as his bank transfer went through he informed me that he was going to walk away from the job :-( I have now had to emply a further tradesman to complete the job.

Conversions - General- 30 Apr 2019
Good start, turned up early at quote stage and offered good advice. Throughout 80% of the project they were courteous, timely, clean and tidy. We did make one change during the project and this was received positively and adhered to. As the project came towards the end there were (in hindsight) clear signs of rushing, the quality of work took a step back backwards and became a little "slapdash". At the end of the project we were told that the two new doors would need to settle and we could call them back to adjust accordingly. Alas after several attempts to make contact we have just been ignored, it now transpires that the doors have been fitted incorrectly and one has been damaged. Shame, good start but the end result leaves us out of pocket as we need to have the poor workmanship rectified. I would not recommend Wallcob based on our experience

Work was originally scheduled to start 4th June but only began on 26th June as Sutton Ltd were very busy on a number of other, larger projects. The crew who attended were good skilled workmen who worked hard in difficult conditions during the heatwave. New concreted passageway was meant to eliminate rainwater 'pooling' on surface. The first time we had some rain (2 weeks after works finished) it was apparent something was wrong as surface water had not run off as expected. We sent a photo to Paul Sutton (co-owner of Sutton Ltd who had been dealing with us by text & phone after accepting job) but sadly he decided they had finished the job to the agreed specifications and that was an end to it. We had by then paid their bill. We wrote to him once more but no reply. We weren't happy to be 'off-loaded' in this way by Paul Sutton because he reckoned the job was done properly. He was never here during the work nor did he come to inspect it when finished. Later, he informed us that one of the 2 men working here on the last day was in fact his younger brother, Phillip Sutton, so it must have been Phil who 'signed off' on the job, but we had no idea. P.S. We've since had another company here to rectify the problem. They highlighted a glaring fault. Using a spirit level they found half the new surface was sloped backwards, so rainwater couldn't run off as intended. Have learned the hard way but at nearly 80 we're not taking matters further. Problem now sorted!

Said the damp would not be occurring after the damp treatment and gave a 10yr guarantee but it still keeps comming after 3 months of damproffing even though was given a 10 yr guarantee.
