Man Ho or Calvin Ho' or Man Fu Ho, who owns Carve Engineering Co. Ltd. He also has a Hong Kong branch carve-eng.com . I didn't know he subcontracted the whole project to a group of Chinese mainlanders who couldn't speak English. And he asked a British Gas gas engineer to sign off the plumbing work. I obtained the planning in December 2021. The work started on 31/1/2022 and almost finished now 19/9/2022. It supposed to end in three months time as they promised. It's only a single storey side extension and shouldn't be left unfinished with pipes broke. The workers only came to work once a week and sometimes the work stopped for a month or so. The price included the purchase of a boiler and installation. But there's no timer or thermostat and I was asked to purchase these and install them with extra cost. The workers' van broke down five times and they didn't turn up for five different days. There's no windowsill and they called this a standard window people would install. The exterior wall was painted inconsistent to our original wall and I had to argue to get them pebbledash and repainted. They left the fences on our neighbours. The pipes are still leaking. Shower leaked for 3 months. They even charged extra for the electricity sockets they installed in our kitchen. They took down the mains water supply switch and never install it back so our house has no in house mains water stop valve! They didn't hoover and didn't have a hoover. Avoid this company!

Cristi-George Dima came over for a quote to renovate my shower room. I warned him an organization is paying for the cost and their paper work may take a while before I finally receive the money. I contacted him to request his bank details, but there was no response. I guessed he wanted cash payment, so I informed the organization who agreed to send me the money for his payment. On phoning to give give him this feedback to encourage him to start the job, there was no response on three occasions. Still another call, and he told me he would come over two days after to start the work. He did not turn up. Yet still, another call, but the line was disconnected, so I left two messages for him on My Builder's website. He has to date, not responded and I have moved on. I am disappointed the way he has treated me. Finally, my advice to him is that, he should stick to agreeements and also feel free to discuss anything that he felt stod in his way, for a proper solution to the problem. Good communication is key to any relationship and he needs to take this on board and all would be well with him. I wish him well, however. Esther

Highly unprofessional behaviour. After agreeing the contract/price both on "Whatsapp" and "Mybuilder", the tradesperson didnot turn up to do the job on the day, saying that the job is not worth of their time. Quite disappointed with this attitude.

The contract we agreed was "Replacement of pier caps." to replace my own garden gate post tops. When they arrived they claim that the price did not include supplying the pier caps! What did they think it covered? Picking the old broken ones back up and sticking them on top of the gate posts? Do not trust their wording in a quote. Simple answer - don't use them.

Having hired Arthur with his friend Sol, after a few days work Arthur went on a 9 week holiday and left Sol to continue my job. Sol proved to be very unreliable and now neither Arthur or Sol will return calls or answer texts. Do not use unless you are prepared to be let down halfway through a job. I am very disappointed.

Agreed for him to do the job, I had everything thereto complete the job, the price was fine and date agreed. He never turned up, after my first phone call to him rang and eventually went to answer machine so I left a message. After that the phone went to instant answer machine. No reply came. Then I thought that maybe I had the day wrong and it might be the next day so I left an apology by text and on his answer machine in case that was correct. So I waited in the next day and he never turned up or answered his phone or sent me a text. Yesterday I waited again on the off chance but no show!! After waiting in the house these 3 days I thought we could have got someone else to do the job while the weather has been perfect. Just a week wasted waiting about. It wouldn't have been so bad if he had made a courtesy call just to let me know he wasn't able to or didnt want to do the job and I could have had the guy that is now going to do it 7 days earlier!!

Didn't turn up when he said he would, tok 7 days to build a 300 brick wall, if he'd have turned up when he was supposed to it would have bn done in 5 hours, hasn't finished the wall, left me with a course of bricks short & a whole load of mess, promised me he would fix it all & be here at 8.30 this morning, guess what......... A no show again, so now I have to finish the wall myself, get rid of all the rubbish & there is a fair bit of it, my daughter paid him when he supposidly finished as I was out, I wouldn't have paid him had I bn there,........ The pointing is all over the place from a few mm to 15 mm,........ If you want a gd honest job done dnt hire this guy

Do not hire this guy. He started a work for me and left it unfinished after collection of £300 deposit following further request of payment different from initially agreed deal. His piece of work was not good and he is so unprofessional. The Police had to be called for him to leave my property.

The worst of the worst!! I find him on my builder's website, not too many reviews but he's on the beginning... Anyway, agreed with the price no bargain no cutting money. He done the job fast and messy, I didn't complain as it's a building site after all. Three external brick walls out of plumb all three, gap for window right size but not in angle, I had to change the window order... I've completed the job with someone else as Mr Thomas wouldn't bother to answer the phone. I'm a contractor myself and I wonder how these guys manage to get jobs!?!?
