Left the job unfinished after many days of chasing to complete. Quality dependent on individual tradesman. Initially good quality but other workmen poor. In the end I had to throw them offsite.

Very dishonest person , agreed the price and never come to do the job , I refuse other quotes because of him . Very unreasonable prices . For 3 howers job hi wonts to charge me £2700 and his experiences was £500, you make opinion how onest trader is . Not recommend him to do business with him , Be a ware !!!

In total I obtained 5 quotes - the price quotes were in a fairly broad range - Slimm construction were not the cheapest or the most expensive. I was impressed when I met Andy - he made careful notes for each room (some of the other builders were in and out very quickly) and made many suggestions concerning the small details - that was important to me - its clear he has done many HMOs before and really knows what is involved - some of the other quotes, for example, asked me to source my own fire alarm etc - I didnt like that. Communication was clear and the team started exactly as planned - the estimated timing was 4 weeks and the work was complete in 3 weeks. The finished house is excellent I am thrilled with it - everything is high quality. In addition, during this work I had a problem with drains at a different house I own - Andy sent his team over and fixed that for me as well at a lower cost than I had been quoted and for a more extensive piece of work. One final point - I ordered furniture that hadnt arrived on time and Andy kept the keys and offered to be at the house to receive it for me as I would not have been available - it really is the complete service. We all choose suppliers based on different criteria - if you are looking for clear communication, sticking to what is promised to the letter and a high quality job at a reasonable cost then I highly recommend Slimm Construction.

I met Dylan and agreed a price for my extension in April ‘22 and agreed a start date in September ‘22. Around 1 month before the start date I contact Dylan to check we were still set for that date. I didn’t hear anything back from a couple of WhatsApp messages so emailed him. He responded and said that I wouldn’t be happy because his prices had gone up. I was very confused as I am in the trade and when I give a labour price for a job and then, later, choose to increase my labour rate, I still honour my previous price of jobs booked in before the price increase. I emailed Dylan back and asked for clarification of this. I didn’t hear from Dylan so I rang him from my partners phone. He promised to send across his new prices and reassured my he still had my job booked in to start in September. He promised an email with his updated prices by the weekend. Well, the weekend came and went and still no prices. On the Monday I emailed Dylan again to remind him. On Tuesday I received the prices which were a 50% increase on the prices he quoted! I could not believe the audacity and arrogance to try and charge 50% more than a price previously agreed. For whatever reason it is clear than Dylan did not want the job and didn’t want to say this, so instead quoted a ridiculous price. This show zero integrity as a person and tradesperson to do this leaving a customer over a barrel.

Dariusz and Wojciech built a front garden wall, installed railings and a gate as well as laid beautiful slabs. Great work ethic, very competitively priced, work done on time and on budget. After work has been complete the team made a complete tidy up so everything was left to just enjoy. Actonstruction come very highly recommended and i will use them again.

Nathan did a fantastic job repairing the render on the front of our house, and then painting it. His price was fair and he did a great job to a high standard, despite the weather being against him. Nathan turned up early every day, communicated with us throughout the job, cleaned up after himself and was very polite and courteous. Our neighbours have comented on what a good job he has done with such little fuss, very impressed! Will be hiring him again in the future and would recommend him to anyone!!

Was under quoted by £750 and had to get them back to re cement some bricks back in and remove half a slab which was left under a gravelled area! The guys worked hard an the slabbed areas are level!

Karl is a nice chap, has the skill but lacks time management and his finishing touch is poor unfortunately. He told me it’s going to be 2 man job but the 2nd person was not full time. So he did most of the job on his own and towards the end there was still lots to be done so unfortunately I got a rushed bolched job. He promised spot lights general but left the last room with same old light, part of the work was not completed but had to pay extra for it to be done. Did a nice kitchen and left space for fridge and washing machine but plastered the old sockets to the wall and did not leave any socket to plug the fridge, has to get an electrician out. Also no holes made within the cupboard to pass through the washing machine hose, had to get a plumber. Majority of the flooring and tiles in bathroom has not been filled. He did a ceiling in one of the room and there are leaks within a week. With the amount of money spent, I am disappointed that I still have to pay people to do extra bits and pieces. I am grateful that he tried his best and tried to complete the work. PBut I would have appreciate if he worked at a good pace and not rushed the job towards the end. Without good finishing touches, it looks like I had hired a Bob the builder.

I had booked Stephen to carry out a job and had agreed a date and time for him to come round to carry out the works. Following an email exchange the morning of the job, he informed me he wouldn't be in the area until 2 hours after the agreed time. He then didn't show up at all. I have had no communication from him since to either apologise or rearrange the job.
