Having been let down by my original builder, I posted my requirements on MyBuilder.com. Simon Cranstone (Simon) responded promptly and based upon my scope of work provided an initial Projected Cost (PC) budget. The project, a house refurbishment with an additional single story rear extension was clearly no problem and a "turn key" project was agreed. I was impressed by Simon's ability to explain costings albeit PC at the outset and the realistic 10-12 timeline for completion of works. My original architect was replaced by another on Simon's recommendation ensuring that the relevant Thames Water and Building Regulation/Control exchanges/requirements were met. Simon or the builders onsite dealt professionally with all the challenges arising whether it was unexpected drain works, appalling weather and even business as usual neighbour concerns. Although the PC budget was exceeded by some 30%, these were as a result of Building Control requirements and project scope creep by myself. The project was delivered on schedule. At all times the professionalism and, craftsmanship of the builders in particular were a credit to SP Cranstone. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to do all building works and happy to provide any further feedback if required.

Excellent work. Aaron and his team did a great job renovating our flat , including rewiring and laying a new wooden floor. The workmen were very good , professional, thorough ,clean and tidy. We had to live at the property during the work and they made sure they left us comfortable at the end of each day. We are very happy with the result. We choose Surrey Build & Maintain because we felt like Dan and the team really listened to our vision for the extension and shared the desire to produce something that would be an amazing improvement to our house. As with any build, there were many hurdles to overcome. Dan and the team were always there on hand to deal with challenges and overcome them in a professional and experienced fashion. We really felt that Dan was on our side and was able to find numerous ways to improve the project as well as saving money by assisting to redesign the structural plans as they were unnecessarily overzealous. The team was punctual and hard-working, often working on weekends to increase the rate of construction. We stayed at the house during the build and Dan made every effort to make the impact on us as minimal as possible, laying dust sheets, cleaning up each day and keeping a temporary kitchen available to us during the project. We took advice on key features like doors and windows from Dan during the build and absolutely loved his design input. The end result is fantastic and we barely use any other room in the house! Since Dan began the kitchen extension we have also employed Surrey Build to overhaul our bathroom as well. Highly recommended!

I required a built in floor to ceiling cupboard in my hallway for additional storage which Rob built and fitted in a timely manner and at a very reasonable price. As he was unable to find Louvre doors to fit the space he custom made the door which looks fab. I would highly recommend him and will definitely use him again for any further jobs in the future. Tony and the team did a really excellent job. The quality of work is very high - all the neighbours have said how great it looks! They also were able to make a change to the design part way through the job for no extra charge. They were also very professional, worked hard and were really friendly.
