I have been in the building trade for approximately 20 years, initially starting out as a hod carrier. Approximately 15 years ago I started working for a building company and developed my skill set. Working for the building company for approximately 12years gave me a lots of experience of many things including brickwork, steel installations, groundwork and drainage, pointing, roofing and much more. Having my own van, I am able to travel and have all of the tools required to carry out the jobs. My skillset includes - Bricklaying from repairing garden walls, building new walls, to building extensions. Groundworks - including footings and drainage. Pointing - grouting out and repointing - inc tin point. Roofing - roof repairs, lead work, tiling, full re-roof. Fascias, soffits and gutters - install, repair and replace. I have previously undertaken full extension jobs, getting relevant tradesmen in for areas I am not able to do eg. electrics, plumbing. Extension work - previous jobs undertaken from large 2 storey wrap around extension to small single storey extension and room conversions. I pride myself on being an honest builder with a large skillset and friendly approach. I am reliable and punctual.

Experienced with building houses to a NHBC standard, extensions, commercial building etc nursing homes and steel erected building, stone work natural and bekstone and footings Strong knowledge of masonry techniques and materials Lay bricks and other materials to construct or repair walls, floors, chimneys, and other structures Use hand tools to shape bricks and remove excess mortar Cut bricks to size using power saws or hand tools Ensure that structures are level and plumb by using levels, plumb bobs, and string lines Repair or replace damaged bricks or blocks Ability to read blueprints or specifications Proficient in using hand tools such as trowels, hammers, and chisels Familiarity with power tools used in masonry work Excellent physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects Attention to detail and precision in bricklaying
