Stephen replaced my bullnose front doorstep and cast iron air vent using lime mortar to an exceptionally high standard, will certainly be using him again and would highly recommend for fine detail work!

Brett is a nice guy and does do very good brickwork. There were good and bad times... We agreed a payment structure of all material and then money at the end of each week when that stage was completed. It was a disjointed build but he was always asking for more money for the next stage when the previous hadn't been finished. Part way through the build he stated he had taken a job elsewhere and now could not do the next stage (knockthroughs) At this point we had paid him up to and beyond what had been completed but he said he had no money to finish the last bits. After texts asking for the last £1000 because he was so hard up. I agreed to transfer it on the basis he complete the last bits. He never came back as promised. I have since had another builder come in and they have pointed out errors with the work. How the new extension bridges the cavities. These have had to be rectified else would cause damp. Towards the end of the build it was clear our build was not his priority. When he failed to show up when he said he would. I googled his name and previous companies registered to his address. 4 brickwork companies all dissolved. Do your research! I would recommend him for small jobs but not a big build.

Valentin, Dan and Chris did a great job turning an old wooden shed into a beautiful teenage den / home office. They stripped the shed down to the original wooden frame, replaced the roof and cladding, subdivided the internal space into two rooms and a small shower room. The job was reasonably priced though there was a little scope creep much of it due to additions to the original specification that resulted in an increase in price. With hindsight we should have made sure we kept track of additional work. They were friendly, tidy and considerate in the work and the dog loved having them around. They were professional and hardworking and we were pleased with the final result which was excellent value for money. We would recommend Valentin and his team and will have them back to do more work for us.

I hired JA Landscaping and Brickwork to build a garden retaining wall and complete patio tiling. Unfortunately, my experience with John (Jay) was very disappointing. The work was left unfinished, and the site was left in a very poor condition; even my front driveway is fully messed up with 8-10tons of waste. Despite claiming over 25–30 years of experience, the work was not properly assessed or managed, even though he was already working on a retaining wall next to the patio project at the same property and location. Although John refunded the waste removal charges £450, even that didnt covering full waste removal, the remaining unfinished and corrective work is costing me approximately 40% more than originally planned. This has made the overall project financially difficult and stressful. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company, particularly for medium to large projects over £1k, as I do not feel they are capable of handling larger jobs professionally.
