What a brilliant job Mike did. Built 2 walls and laid a patio. Superb work ethic and attention to detail despite having to work in some terrible weather. He always kept us updated and informed at each stage of the job i and cannot recommend him highly enough. 5 stars all the way.

Latest review:Bricklaying-Had Davie out today to build a front door step, he was friendly and informative throughout and it cost exactly what we were quoted. Although not the biggest job the attention to detail was 2nd to none right down to matching the existing brickwork on the house and he tidied everything up to a level better than what I expected, no matter how big or small the job I would highly recommend giving them a call.
Very happy with swift response & very happy with there work cleaned up at back of them would recommend. Also very friendly guys

Bricklayer in East LothianI’m a newly qualified tradesman, I’ve done 4 years of my apprenticeship at barratt and been involved with bricklaying since I was 18. I done a pre apprenticeship course at college when I was younger and laboured to bricklayers until I got my apprenticeship at 24. I’m from East Linton, so I’m willing to work anywhere in East Lothian, all of Edinburgh and as far as Livingston or Dunfermline. I’m a hard working guy who always leaves a job to the highest standards it should be. Good at solving problems and I’m a honest guy that likes to be fair when pricing a job. I feel nowadays that too many builders charge ridiculous amounts of money for doing a job and then when the job is finished, the quality of work isn’t what it should be(especially when it comes to building regulations) I like my work always kept plumb, level and my gauge to precision on the corners of whatever I’m building. Whether that’d be a house, an extension or even a garden wall. Making sure my wall ties, dpc and weep vents are in the correct places. I’m always making sure it’s kept plumb once I’m running in the line and it isn’t leaning either inwards or outwards as I finish the course in the middle. My perps being in line and the end product looking neat and tidy.
Great service from initial contact. From estimating to completing job was just over 2 weeks. Would highly recommend john for anyone looking for any building work and would be my first contact for any future work i need done.
