Farther & Son combo, both nice in general, both very polite. What I had done was a garage wall insulation at the back of the garage. Changed from wooden to bricks, double layer with insulation inbetween. Had alot of people come out and he was 1 of about 3 I felt comfortable with, that could do the job properly. Had loads come out and they came across like a cowboy, Adrian came across very professional. The results were fantastic as would quite happily use again. Depending on what the council say I wouldn't bother getting anyone else as they really have done a great job, and would offer them it first no question asked. From, Kieren Chidgey Done in 3 days so was very quick

I had an excellent experience when Rikky came to build a front step on our driveway. We needed the work to be done in a short timescale; he turned up on time, was polite and friendly, and provided a reasonable estimate for the price of the work. On the day he arrived right on time, got straight to work, and left the site immaculate. We are delighted with the work and would happily have Rikky back to do further jobs in future. Highly recommended.

Built most of a block and timber house contributing to design and key build features to the point of internal finishing and completion. Also repaired an 18th century stone house wall which was falling out. Assisted in building a conservatory as well as propping a house wall. High work rate and excellent contributions to problem solving throughout tasks. A complete tradesman.

In 2014 Gary removed an internal wall, created a wide opening in another wall and installed a complete kitchen. This involved plumbing and electrical work. In 2017 Gary removed my old bathroom suite and installed a new one for me. I have been highly satisfied with both jobs. The work did not exceed the amount quoted and Gary's finish and attention to detail is exceptional. Gary treated my home and my pets with care and respect and I did not feel at all uncomfortable knowing he was in my home on occasion that I was unable to be there. I have no hesitation at all in recommending Gary.

Mark Thorne has vanished! Now I have paid him he is no longer in touch. His work is sloppy, untidy and finished to an exceptionally poor standard. He has used the wrong grout shade and the over filled the grooves. I am so disappointed with the results. I hired Mark to relay a couple of slabs and repoint a small patio.(In April) I have tried on many occasions (now July!) to get him to come back and sort out the mess that he has left. He said at first that he would come back but then stopped responding to my messages. I will now have to get someone else to sort out his mess. I would not recommend Mark Thorne of MT Builders and will not be using him again.
