My house was suffering from damaged and blown soft bricks around ground level, causing problems with damp as well as being unsightly. The guys were confident of a solution, and willing to quote a fixed price. They were able to cut out the bricks and repoint with lime, with all the new bricks and mortar being perfectly matched to the existing brickwork. The finished result is excellent; it looks like the problem never existed, and several other problematic patches were resolved to make the house look smart. As well as doing a great job, John and Harry were excellent to have around and left everything tidy at the end. They understood the heritage aspects of the job and knew how to solve the issue, clearly possessing a huge amount of practical know-how and experience. I am grateful for their help, and look forward to having them back on site to assist with other repairs and improvements.
