Incompetent and vacuous. Didn’t read the plans or sizes at the start, which meant many crappy adjustments were made throughout, ie sink on the wrong side, oven protruding out etc. Anything that seemed hard was an ‘extra’ cost. Damaged most items that were installed and then refused to change them as it was too much effort. Quality of workmanship was very low, and finishes were terrible, when requested to amend he flatly refused. He seemed very inexperienced and possibly had never fitted a kitchen or bathroom before. Once he had received 90% of the contract money he started refusing to do things and not turning up, eventually leaving the job unfinished. He totally ignored requests to finish the job and kept our keys!! He is supposed to be a qualified gas engineer - however managed to break our boiler and then refused to fix it as he didn’t know how. I mean it’s just lunacy! We have since had another quote to complete the work and fix all the damage he caused which is the same price as what we have already paid. The new builder noted the work used primitive methods and was substandard. I would not recommend Nikolay at all. Total nightmare to deal with and unbearably unprofessional. I can only assume the other positive reviews on here are from his friends!!

Great experience from start to finish - I contacted several people and nick was far and above the most professional efficient and responsive. And a realistic price. As a landlord He kept me up to date and sent photos at the end of each day and did a fantastic job. A few unexpected things were sorted straight away with no hesitation. My tenants also commented how polite and courteous everyone was. Would highly recommend. Thank you!

Fahed gave a competitive quote for removing a bath and shower screen, replacing with a walk in shower, tiling the walls to match, where necessary and tiling the floor. Fahed and his colleague arrived on time every day and worked diligently to complete the job on time and on budget. They identified plumbing problems as they arose, communicated them to us and calmly found solutions. They were pleasant to work with and cleared all the rubbish. We are delighted with the end result and, based on our experience, would thoroughly recommend their services.

Aarron provided fully professional service when installing replacement tap for our bathroom sink. During the process we also discovered that sink pipes need to be swapped and he done that without prior agreement. He was friendly and helpful in sharing some of his advice as well. Would definitely recommend his services to anyone looking for reliable plumber.

If you are looking for a communicative, honest and professional handyman, Sam is your man. We gave Sam 4 difficult handyman tasks to complete. He was honest to diagnose one and say it was beyond economical repair. He used expert initiative to remedy the other 3 and all are working well. Sam was quick and thorough to communicate from the beginning. He was friendly and polite throughout. He always worked and tried hard to resolve the works we needed. He completed the works for a fair price. We will be using Sam again when we need to and he comes with our high recommendation.

Conversions - General- 22 Feb 2020
Quoted £500 to remove small kitchen wall (<1m wide), make adjacent wall good, and move light switch. Removed wall, moved switch, and kindly moved fridge. Said he'd return to make wall good. On two occasions I arranged to WFH and he failed to show up or let me know. On multiple occasions he said he might be able to do a day but then didn't confirm. He did come by when we weren't in one day to drop wood off to cover wall gaps. One day I arranged for our dog walker to be in at 1. She waited until 3. I messaged Daniel later to ask what happened. He apparently came at 1.20 and waited for 15 mins. I believe he turned up and our dog walker didn't hear door but it's unlikely he tried to knock multiple times over 15 mins, as she was listening for him. Agreed he would finish work in new year. In Jan again failed to confirm days/times on multiple occasions. Finally agreed noon on a Sat. Failed to show up/respond to messages. Eventually got through to him - said his phone was broken. No explanation re why he didn't show up. Agreed he'd come the next Sat but no show again. No response to message or to later one asking if he planned to finish the job. Received a missed call but nothing further. I've left it a month as hoped he would get in contact. It's clear he has run off with £500, leaving giant holes in wall. I work long hours and weekends are precious. I have no patience for someone who has no respect for my free time, or for fact it's not possible to WFH all the time.

Malcolm visited and provided a fair quote for a full bathroom refurb which involved full retailing and changing bath to a wetroom. We promptly agreed a date and I paid the deposit. Malcolm turned up at 8am as promised every single day and worked tirelessly to transform our bathroom completely within the scheduled date. His work ethick and skill is quite commendable. He is soft spoken and talks less, so make sure to tell him exactly what you need and he will go the extra mile to deliver. He had discovered a blockage in plumbing and fixed it free of charge. He is so easy to work with. Will work with him in future. Thanks Malcolm!

I highly recommend Charles Bell. He is superb at everything he touches: tiling, plumbing, fitting and decorating and a delight to have in the house. He had the extremely arduous of job of dismantling a shower room up a spiral staircase at the top of the house, carrying heavy loads up and down 70 stairs and he still managed to complete the job ahead of schedule. His workmanship on the new shower room is immaculate and his attention to detail is precise. His fees are very reasonable and he came in on budget. I am very pleased with his work and could not fault him in any way.

WARNING DO NOT HIRE We have recently redone our whole flat and We asker Zachary to box in some pipe work, lay laminate floor, install skirtking boards and radiator cover and then paint wood work which ended up costing £2700 even though th quote was for much less we think he did this to get the job over the other quotes we received The standard of work was absolutely shocking and sadly we were away whilst he finishers and he pushed us into paying before we could see it claiming he needed it desperately (I know rookie mistake on our part) He claimed he sanded down the wood work but everything was rough to the touch and had old paint chips coming through. after hiring another tradman to Put it right they told me he had not even applied a top coat and had only painted with primer after emailing back and forth for weeks he after first denying our issues promised to come fix the issues however after pestering him for over a month this did not materialise and he didn’t get in contact with us. The laminate flooring is coming away from the walls and some of the joints are not clicked in place properly we are gutted we used him and not somewith more feedback We won’t be making that mistake ever again. The skirting board has huge bits of dried glue coming out on some of the edges honestly I don’t know how he could leave a job like this - some people have no shame! DO NOT HIRE THIS GUY! I had the pleasure of Charlie and Kurt coming to do some work for me at one of my properties as the place hadn’t been touched in years and needed some serious TLC! They had replaced the ceiling in the bathroom, redone the decking and refitted some appliances as well as repairing the pointing outside and redecorating the entire house. This was a big job as the house is old and had defects all over in awkward places but they made sure to complete all touch ups to ensure the finish was to a good standard. They even tidied up the garden and had replaced some benches I had outside for free which was very much appreciated. Definitely recommend them for any jobs locally big or small! Thanks again guys :)
