Cannot fault the work Tony undertook. Completed on time, finished to a very high standard, kept informed (we were away on holiday whilst work was being done). So pleased with the result, my daughter's room is what was the kitchen and looks beautiful. New kitchen fitted with new floor tiles and looks fantastic, boiler was moved etc. Can't recommend Tony enough and I will definitely use Marsdens again.

Sean is excellent at any kind of plumbing. He fitted a downstairs shower and toilet for me in a very tight space, and did a brilliant job. The tiling is beautiful, he does everything with attention to detail and care about the finish, and came back several times, to complete the last details, He is very easy going, and polite, and check with you before doing anything. I appreciated his serious approach towards COVID, he wears his mask and shows consideration. He left the place clean every day and helped with the buying of materials. I would 100 per cent recommend Sean as a brilliant all round builder and plumber and will definitely be using him again for future jobs. Thank you Sean

I hired this team for a small under-stair kitchenette: plumbing, tiling, reinstallation, and painting of walls and woodwork — all clearly listed in the job spec and discussed before work began. Positives: Neat plumbing and tidy pipework, Kitchen reinstalled well, Site left clean, Issues: Day 1: Due 7:30am, arrived 8:20am, left 12:30pm, Day 2: Due 8am, arrived 8:45am, tried to leave at 2pm saying the job was complete — despite woodwork still unpainted. Painting was denied despite being in scope, and done with no prep when raised. Tiling started from the bottom, leaving a visible untiled gap at the top, for £700, the actual time spent was around a day — and the finish didn’t reflect true expertise. The guys were pleasant enough, but due to the pushback on agreed work and poor finish, I wouldn’t hire them again.

Phill was great to work with. Nothing was too much trouble and he did everything to a very high standard within our timescales. He refitted our bathroom as well as the kitchen and the results are incredible despite having had problems with water and uneven walls! I was very lucky to find Cornel for my building work. His team were extremely hard working, efficient and respectful and the work was done very quickly and to a high standard. Most estimates for the build time were between 8 and 10 weeks - my work was fully complete in 6 weeks. Building control passed all stages of the work without any issues. He is equally proficient at the plumbing, electrics, flooring, tiling and decorating as the heavy building work, even restoring my garden so that it looked better than it did before the build. I am in a conservation area with close neighbours on all sides and Cornel minimised the disruption as much as possible and made efforts to keep everyone happy. His attitude to overcome problems and make sure that in the end you are a happy client drives his approach to the work. I had 10 builders quote for the job and Cornels quote was very competitive and the final costs were exactly as we had agreed. I had spoken to a number of his previous clients before going ahead and they were all very impressed with his work and had good experiences. It can be a difficult decision to choose a builder if you have no previous experience and given the potential for things to go wrong - but we made the right choice. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Cornel and his team.

Could not recommend more highly, the best client service and product I have ever received. This is a father and son team who absolutely shattered expectations - we genuinely consider ourselves so lucky to have found David and his father and couldn't be happier with their service. On the first meeting their expertise was immediately obvious, with just a single walk through of the property being enough for them to identify what we needed and pick up on details that only comes from years and years of practical experience. That set the tone for rest of the relationship, with there being so many instances of them going out of there way with no other intention than to provide the best client outcome possible. Here are just a few examples that show their genuine client care and professionalism: - David was constantly available on WhatsApp or the phone to answer questions or provide advice with almost instant responses. I don't think I've ever experienced better client service in any context. - David and his dad personally ran around London for days trying to find replacement doors that fit the frames, picked up paints from the store, found and purchased appropriate fittings like door stops, light switch covers etc. - these small things were taken care of us with just us needing to approve options they found in store. It was a massive time and stress saver for us. - we were doing this on the fly so evolved our requirements almost constantly throughout the project - these were always accommodated and not only that, with such a positive and helpful attitude that it made our lives so much easier - when retiling the bathroom they informed me they would have to take the cabinets out to tile underneath - I suggested they could tile around it but insisted that it should be done in case we ever wanted to replace the cabinet. They did this at no extra cost to ourselves, just extra work for them which underscores their professionalism. - they gave proactive advice on so many aspects of the project, including the most appropriate paints and floor varnishes, proactively identifying design faults that we were not aware of and remediating them (e.g. very oddly placed light switches), identified a pretty shoddy job of repairing a leak in the loft and future proofed it for us which is again something we would never have been aware of until another leak occurred, they even proactively put a small sliding door into the bathtub panelling (no extra cost) to ensure any future plumbing issues could easily be investigated. - they were unbelievably clean which was such a nice bonus - the property was immaculate at the end of every day, and for me that showed a level of respect for clients and the property that is so hard to find. - measurements - they took care of all of these for us , including tile measurements, blinds, garden edging etc. - it was such a luxury to be able to just be told how much of each needed to be ordered and they were 100% accurate - again such a time and stress saver for us. These are just some examples of our experience, I can honestly say that this is the lever of service we received throughout. With such an amazing service you might think that they would have charged a premium. This was not the case, in fact the opposite, I could easily see another contractor charge 2-3 times what we paid, and it is particularly impressive when you consider the flawless finishing and breadth of work they undertook - the whole house repainted (walls, ceilings, cabinets), the flooring sanded and revarnished plus carpet upstairs taken out and floorboards repaired, painted and varnished, garden landscaped, bathrooms retiling, fireplace retailing, toilets replaced, light switches rewired etc - it was a full makeover. They also achieved all this in 2 weeks - that is no mean feat but is even more impressive when you consider that our requirements were constantly evolving - they took all in their stride and just replanned sequencing of activities to accommodate us. We have since passed David's details onto no less than 5 friends who have all been absolutely delighted, so we've put our recommendation into practice!
