Kaz, the job says replace flush system for toilet cistern. The system only costs £16.99 at Screwfix. You charged £90 that was paid to your account to do this but instead of replacing the whole system you trimmed the old outlet part with a saw. This is an old part that we already had 10 years out of it. Now I have an irate tenant sending me videos and photos as it is leaking water into the bowl none stop. You argued that it is over a year. But it is obvious short cutting for a job you already have been paid well to do and should have done and fully replaced as described in the ad. I sent you video and photos of the part you trimmed for a temporary fix. You can clearly see the saw cut edges at the top. You are a plumber and know the two parts don't match. I do understand it would have taken you may be an extra 15 minutes to replace it but that is the job that was advertised and that you have been paid for. No landlord wants to watch someone fix something they are paying them to do.

Within 24hrs of posting our tiling job Terry came to view the site, respecting social distancing, and provided a competitive quote for the work. He was very reliable, on time every day and incredibly clean and tidy with his work whilst in our home. Terry made minor adjustments to our plumbing and fully fitted the bathroom once tiled, as well as adding all finishing touches. The bathroom is exactly how we hoped it would look, we couldn't be happier with it. Terry offered lots of advice and was more than happy to accommodate all of our requests. We wouldn't hesitate to book him for any future jobs.

Prompt, reliable, and high quality workmanship. It’s such a relief to finally find a home improvements professional who I can trust. Paolo and team re-installed the shower tray and enclosure in my ensuite as well as putting in new wall and floor tiling and refurbing the sink. He did a really good job and the end result looks better than I could have hoped for. Communication was excellent throughout and he balanced providing an expert opinion vs delivering to our vision for the design. I cannot recommend Paolo and team enough.

Could not recommend more highly, the best client service and product I have ever received. This is a father and son team who absolutely shattered expectations - we genuinely consider ourselves so lucky to have found David and his father and couldn't be happier with their service. On the first meeting their expertise was immediately obvious, with just a single walk through of the property being enough for them to identify what we needed and pick up on details that only comes from years and years of practical experience. That set the tone for rest of the relationship, with there being so many instances of them going out of there way with no other intention than to provide the best client outcome possible. Here are just a few examples that show their genuine client care and professionalism: - David was constantly available on WhatsApp or the phone to answer questions or provide advice with almost instant responses. I don't think I've ever experienced better client service in any context. - David and his dad personally ran around London for days trying to find replacement doors that fit the frames, picked up paints from the store, found and purchased appropriate fittings like door stops, light switch covers etc. - these small things were taken care of us with just us needing to approve options they found in store. It was a massive time and stress saver for us. - we were doing this on the fly so evolved our requirements almost constantly throughout the project - these were always accommodated and not only that, with such a positive and helpful attitude that it made our lives so much easier - when retiling the bathroom they informed me they would have to take the cabinets out to tile underneath - I suggested they could tile around it but insisted that it should be done in case we ever wanted to replace the cabinet. They did this at no extra cost to ourselves, just extra work for them which underscores their professionalism. - they gave proactive advice on so many aspects of the project, including the most appropriate paints and floor varnishes, proactively identifying design faults that we were not aware of and remediating them (e.g. very oddly placed light switches), identified a pretty shoddy job of repairing a leak in the loft and future proofed it for us which is again something we would never have been aware of until another leak occurred, they even proactively put a small sliding door into the bathtub panelling (no extra cost) to ensure any future plumbing issues could easily be investigated. - they were unbelievably clean which was such a nice bonus - the property was immaculate at the end of every day, and for me that showed a level of respect for clients and the property that is so hard to find. - measurements - they took care of all of these for us , including tile measurements, blinds, garden edging etc. - it was such a luxury to be able to just be told how much of each needed to be ordered and they were 100% accurate - again such a time and stress saver for us. These are just some examples of our experience, I can honestly say that this is the lever of service we received throughout. With such an amazing service you might think that they would have charged a premium. This was not the case, in fact the opposite, I could easily see another contractor charge 2-3 times what we paid, and it is particularly impressive when you consider the flawless finishing and breadth of work they undertook - the whole house repainted (walls, ceilings, cabinets), the flooring sanded and revarnished plus carpet upstairs taken out and floorboards repaired, painted and varnished, garden landscaped, bathrooms retiling, fireplace retailing, toilets replaced, light switches rewired etc - it was a full makeover. They also achieved all this in 2 weeks - that is no mean feat but is even more impressive when you consider that our requirements were constantly evolving - they took all in their stride and just replanned sequencing of activities to accommodate us. We have since passed David's details onto no less than 5 friends who have all been absolutely delighted, so we've put our recommendation into practice!

I was very pleased with the work that James and David did for me. They ended up undertaking a much broader renovation of my rental property than I had initially specified. This is testament to their wide skill set as they were flexible enough to take on a full range of ad hoc maintenance tasks/repairs identified by my new tenants from replacing kitchen doors, laying new bathroom tiles, painting, building flat pack furniture repairing windows and fixing various plumbing issues. I was very pleased with the work they did, which was completed to a high standard. I would definitely use them again.

We have been working with Derek Borkiewicz (Sebek Construction) on a renovation of a garden flat in Little Venice since last autumn. We needed to completely restore the whole flat, including the garden. This was our second renovation project and by this time we knew what we wanted to do, which mistakes to avoid and what to pretend from a qualified builder. We will never stop saying how lucky we have been to find Derek and his team! Derek is not only a professional builder who is very careful to the smallest of the details. He is not only a very good project manager who is constantly checking the work of his men. Derek is a friend who takes on board a project like it is his own project. He suggested the most convenient and best solutions for any problem we came across during the works. There wasn’t a time when he didn’t know what to do to solve a difficult situation (and there are lots of small and big issues coming up in a renovation work) no matter how complicate they were and how long it took to solve them. His availability and his courtesy are incredible above all in a fast running city like London. This is priceless to us. His hard work can be seen in the wonderful result we reached with this garden flat. If we ever decide to work on another project we won’t think twice about working with Derek once again. In fact, now that we found the perfect man to work with, we are looking forward to finding another renovation project to work on! Monica

Extremely Disappinted with Planetium Construction- I hired Planetium for a 59k renovation job. Initially, the workmanship was acceptable only because I supervised closely and had them redo substandard work multiple times. However, before the job has been complete, I discovered already a roof leak in the master bedroom, direcly under the newly renovated bathroom. Despite my repeated requests, Planetium refused to take responsiblity or fix the issue. Just telling me need additional charges for the work. Worst still, Adrian the owner, demanded I pay the final balance of 1840 before they would address the GF heating which stopped working after they installed the new controller. When I reasonably refused to pay before they complete the job , Adrian swore at me over the phone the most offensive language. Furthermore, they promised to replace a new Miele microwave for the one they damaged during installation but now just walked away. Leaving me unresolved issues and additional repair cost!

David you are very respectful, reliable and trust worthy and although the lead in time was several weeks as we requested, you always replied to texts promptly and did not let us down when the start date arrived following our deliveries. Unfortunately once the old bathroom suite was removed , problems,which could not have been identified before, became apparent. This often happens unfortunately. This made it very difficult for you to then complete the job on time to the standard you would have preferred and everything became a bit rushed. The tiling is very good . To make it less stressful for yourself I would suggest that you always tell the customer that if you uncover problems you will need to charge them for additional time.most people are accepting of this. Carlos’s work is of an exceptionally high standard & communication has been outstanding. He’s been a pleasure to deal with throughout the whole process. Polite, courteous & always carried out his word, arriving on time, always present when he said he would be, keeping us informed of his movements right from the outset, no nonsense delays. Carlos advised us of the work to be carried out professionally, honestly & with huge integrity, a rare find! His estimate was a true reflection of the work necessary with no nasty hidden extras so we were clear about what needed to be done and logical reasons as to why they needed to be done in that way. Any variation was explained to us before the work needed to be carried out with a sound reason for doing so. During the work Carlos was mindful of any possible disturbance, was meticulous, neat & extremely clean, & tidy. Our bathroom, toilet & kitchen were left polished, sparkling clean, conveniently ready for us to use again. The standard of work was quite exceptional: fitting of basin and bath taps with telephone shower, overhead shower, making good the walls, grouting and sealing of walls and floor tiles, repairing damage to kitchen ceiling, painting of bathroom and kitchen ceilings after water damage and going the extra mile to ensure the property was not just repaired but better than new! We’d like to keep Carlos all to ourselves, not tell anyone else but of course he deserves all the customers who commission him.

They did a good job on getting my bathroom sorted. It did take a little longer than I would’ve hoped for but they kept me updated throughout the process. I did have issues with the shower leaking after they had completed but the builder made every effort to rectify the leak at no additional cost which was greatly appreciated. All in all I would recommend as they do a good job and offer competitive prices.

Terrible workmanship. Contractor was called back a number of times for remedial of his own work. Eventually, he became aggressive with my tenant by refusing to leave the premises until payment was made immediately for the substandard job. Regretfully, he was paid to prevent an escalation of the situation.
