I offer architectural design services to suit various requirements within the design and construction industry. I have a Bachelors (BArch) and a Masters (MArch) in Architecture. I now have 8 years of experience working self employed on architectural design projects in the domestic sector, working with private clients or directly for contractors. This experience has involved various local authority planning applications, prior approval planning applications, permitted development design compliance, certification of lawful development applications, building control applications with the local authority and also with approved private building control officers. I’ve assisted with serving notice for party wall agreements and resolving disputes between appointed RICS building surveyors to agree full party wall Awards and schedules of conditions where necessary. I’ve drawn up and coordinated designs with engineers for building control approval and steel fabrication intent information, as well as applying for local water board build over agreements and completing associated drainage drawings. I have over 15 years of hands-on construction experience, building my first home and renovation many more since, from new builds to rear, side and loft extensions. I’ve maintained my primary profession working on large scale projects ranging from £50-400m for the last 10 years, spending the last 4/5 years managing project consultant teams of up to 100 across multiple disciplines such as; structural engineers, mechanical, electrical & public health (MEP) engineers, cladding engineers, lighting designers, landscape designers, planners. Giving me a broad understanding across multiple construction trades and project stages. The above combines a wide and varied background of detailed experience to assist with most architectural design projects and to coordinate as part of a wider design team.
