The project Martyna completed was for the renovation of a 1930s bay fronted house in South East London. *Martyna was very approachable and considered my project very carefully. The site was respectfully planned out and we discussed our options together, to fit details in and around a restricted budget. Martyna was forthcoming with ideas and proposals and suggested suitable builders and engineers for the planning and execution of the renovation. Martyna had the insight to suggest particular and beneficial upgrade work that went above and beyond my expectations. We maintained regular and professional communication in order to maintain our completion date. A very well finished project.

Report not great and he was not prepared to make corrections once he had his full payment. Report likely to be rejected by court says my solicitor because of the poor composition. Under the Consumers Right Act 2015, I could bring a claim, depending on what the court says.

Job: reinstall 1 blinds, and install 1 door handle, £100. Great if you’re looking to install venetian blinds onto a brick wall. Hoovered the dust directly whilst drilling which was appreciated! However, they did not have the tools needed to install the door handle/mortice lock, which was discussed before the appointment so I can only assume you were unprepared. They did not fulfil this task. I thought you were being polite by putting the old door handle back on as you failed to install the new one. I could have done that easily myself, for free, I only removed it to prepare for the job. Was not expecting to pay the £100 quoted just to put the old handle back on instead of a mortice lock handle. I’ve booked a locksmith and will have to pay more to complete a job I have essentially paid for already... In future, if you have not completed a task I would not charge the customer the full amount quoted, respectfully. You were polite despite this and clean, and as for the blinds the job done was satisfactory, well done! I also appreciate that you took a trip to screw fix to find a handle easier to install, even though you came back empty handed. A for effort. I’m not greatly concerned over the money, but thought it overall was unfair and a waste of time. I only paid as I felt sympathetic 2 tradesmen spent 3 hours installing 1 set of blinds, taking an unsuccessful trip to screw fix and fiddling around with a door handle. Thank you for installing the blinds though!
