We initially hired Michael to convert a bathroom into an office. After meeting him and discussing our longer-term plans, we quickly felt confident moving forward with him on much wider renovation works across the property. Michael worked closely with us throughout the entire process—from early ideas and structural planning through to execution. He consistently provided insightful, practical advice that added real value. His ability to anticipate issues early not only prevented problems but also helped us save money by refining the plans to maximise our goals and avoid unnecessary costs. Michael’s broad knowledge and skill set were hugely beneficial on a project of this size and within a tight budget. He made the process far less stressful and, at times, genuinely enjoyable. He kept me informed and involved at every stage, which gave me a great deal of confidence in both the quality of the work and the decisions being made throughout. Michael helped us renovate every corner of our four-bedroom maisonette in West London—from bathrooms and structural opening-up works to a full kitchen renovation, hard landscaping, flooring, and carpentry. The list goes on. You NEED Housi on your project, they took the stress out of our renovation!! We would highly recommend! We got in touch with Housi to help with ideas to renovate a new property I was buying. Holly from Housi helped us with architectural and industry advise throughout the process even before starting full design services which helped me understand my budget more and where items from the survey and my design ideas could overlap. As I was trying to limit costs, Housi helped develop a phased approach to the works as well as assessing options to have a self contained rental unit to bring in income to pay for the final works later. Overall, Holly helped us find minimal abortive works whilst trying to maximise value and functionality. As well as design strategy, she helped us submit a licence to alter application as we found out the house was under a covenant agreement, and managed the project through tender also - meeting with builders and getting quotes. Most importantly, she was able to advise us where builders may be overcharging so we could assess the right builders for us. Working with Housi really made a difference to our project by helping us understand the different stages of a renovation. Holly offered so much more advice and reassurance than any previous professionals we had worked with on our last house and even helped us source re-claimed steel as we wanted to be as circular as possible.

Despite some initial positives, the project was ultimately marred by poor communication, unprofessional conduct & serious breaches of trust. We strongly advise against using Bluelime due to the stress, financial impact, & unresolved issues we faced. While kitchen & bathroom installations were OK & progressed quickly, Bluelime deviated from approved plans in a conservation area, causing compliance issues (estimated correction costs of £15–£20k). Heating & insulation were poorly installed, & second opinions confirmed our dissatisfaction. Communication broke down, with responses defensive and intimidating. Costs rose unexpectedly (e.g. door fitting from £1200 to £2640) & inflated quotes in later stages. The property wasn’t ready for move-in multiple times, disrupting our young family. Additional concerns included missing tools, ignored warranties, inconsistent workmanship & misleading claims about affiliations. We urge others to check Bluelime (Alton Campbell) on Companies House.
