We would DEFINITELY work with Kokorelia Architects again!!! :) We worked with Kokorelia Architects to finish up the plans and submit them to the council and all through the building project. Alexia and Lida are very approachable, very reasonable and easy to deal with. Sadly we had many problems with the Builders and Kokorelia architects helped us all through this episode which has been quite intense.

Finally completed our extension after much back and forth. Freedom were good at revising plans and helping us along on our journey. There were a couple of errors in the original measurements which we didn't pick up until shovels went into the ground, but in fairness, they were quick to remediate. They updated them and got the structural engineers to recalculate promptly. Overall, good value and we felt they showed partnership & commitment considering the time it took from planning to completion.

My Highest Recommendation. I am absolutely delighted by the amazing service and professional approach Firas had when taking care of my project. His drawings were exact and completed very quickly enabling us to get the project started immediately. He was always available to speak with and if any changes were required, these were implemented quickly and efficiently. He was also able to assist me with planning consent and building regulations, and when required added additional information to the plans to assist the builders. Firas was calling me to follow up on planning and offering assistance if needed. I was extremely impressed by this level of service at this very reasonable price and will be using him again for any future projects. A very friendly and approachable person with many good ideas in designing your project, i cannot recommend him highly enough. Outstanding!!!

Based on architect recommendation, we contracted Alain on a private basis to produce structural engineering designs for our home renovation. He undertook a site visit and then produced structural designs to support a large number of elements related to new support beams, lintels etc. These have been iterated with the architect and the process has been very smooth. He was very responsive and nice to interact with. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend as a structural engineer for the type of project we undertook (loft conversion, new pitched roof, new openings within walls and ground floor open plan conversion)

Unfortunately, I have never received the drawings. I have waited more than a month and a half for what should have been 2 weeks. I appreciate the unexpected happens but this completely derailed my timeline and plan for the renovation.

Full rebuild of a Victorian mews home, including full front elevation, building an extra floor and all associated planning. Chris from Sand Architects was professional from the start, and brought really innovative ideas to the table. He doesn’t come across as your stereotypical architect, but more like talking with a friend who shares your vision. He then goes away and creates designs that are true to what you want, whilst pushing the boat out in ways you gladly take on board. He prepared plans that went through planning successfully, even with the plans going to committee. He helped me create my vision, whilst offering suggestions to both ease construction and create a home for the rest of my life. Outsourcing the process to him was the best decision I made in this project as he kept on top of it, was great with comms, and kept pushing it through planning which took that headache away from me. Needless to say, I’d recommend their services to anyone. Especially if you’re looking for something slightly quirky, but keeping within planning regulations. I was hesitant to hire an architect for this project, but I am very glad I did, and I’m especially happy I hired him.

Darren comes across as very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Was quick with producing his work, however that is where the good stuff ended. His CAD drawings are basic, he had inaccurate measurements so was in effect drawing us an extension which physically wasn't possible. Every plan was inaccurate, not just one, he couldn't even spell my surname right and then when I kept asking for it to be changed, something else was then done wrong, or he reverted to old plans that we had already agreed were wrong or not the direction we were going in. I had to submit all the applications myself because he had problems with his cut and paste building regulation documents etc - this was resolved by simply renaming the files etc, not rocket science but again something someone who is experienced should know about. When I told him the builders are here and cant build what he has drawn he told me to get proper builders in not incompetent ones. They cannot magically increase the building height by 1m to fit a pitched roof in so had to go back to drawing board and get a flat roof which cost me more money and delays. I refused to pay his outstanding balance of £200 and he threatened me with court, turned up and crept around my road and took sneaky pictures of me in my garden with the new extension and sent them to me even though I outlined my reasons for not paying etc. Not a nice experience so hence my negative review.

I met Myrtille through him working on someone else's project and found him to be friendly and dependable. He will keep in touch throughout a project to keep you in the loop, any calls or emails you make he will answer quickly. He is very trustworthy and more importantly his work is good! Myrtille has an eye for detail and he is very artistic. This is my first project of this nature but I would gladly hire him again.

We hired Johan for the project of 2 bed flat remodeling to increase living space. Johan quickly helped us gaining the planning permission for the loft conversion within conservation area. He has excellent knowledge in architectural design and building regulations. He is very creative and full of ideas but as well as good at listening and respect our views. Johan is very strong in technical drawings and has good connections with structural engineers, builders and he project manages everything extremely well. Throughout the project he's always been very responsive and reliable. He explained things to us, answered all the questions and has always been professional and honest. We would recommend Johan to anyone who needs a good architect!

Valter was very impressive on his initial visit with some exciting ideas for the house improvements and we had no hesitation in choosing Happy Building above the other two building firms who quoted. Having signed off on the budget and scope of work, Valter's team of builders arrived. We were hugely impressed with the skill, experience and work ethic of the team; the fact that they arrived early each morning smiling underlined the "Happy Building" epithet; Jarek, the site foreman, had an especially cheery demeanour. The work involved stripping the walls back to bricks, removing walls, reinforcing foundations, plastering, extending the bathroom and removing one bedroom to create a large ensuite bedroom. The latter certainly would not have been done without Valter's vision and patience in explaining how it would look. We were able to deviate from the original plans without any problem which was very important in achieving the final look which we had desired. Valter was very careful in sticking to time and budgets which I had never experienced before with builders. The kitchen, bathroom, two bedrooms, living room and hallways were finished to the highest possible specification within our budget. There were one or two small features which, with hindsight, we would have improved such as door handles and shower fittings, however this was down to us not specifying exactly what we wanted. These are very minor details and a tiny part of the overall picture.

Great workman, polite, considerate & hard working. Greenhouse took 3 days (Fri-Sun) to complete as he was working alone. He worked from morning until it was dark on each day & I can’t fault his workmanship. He even offered to return to fit additional shelves I had ordered as more suitable fittings were required & needed to be ordered.
