I have been running my own design practice for the last 15 years and prior to that I worked for small and large architecture and interior design practices for 10+ years on commercial and residential projects. Running my own practice my work is a combination of residential - new build (we built our own house) and extensions - as well as commercial design work such as retail, hospitality and workplace. I am currently working on the planning permission for a new build in Blackheath, London and have recently had planning approval for an extension and loft conversion for a property in Twickenham, London.. On the commercial side most recently I designed the 3d branded environment for hot chocolate brand Knoops and designed and project managed their first 16 stores. I also designed the offices for Housesimple (rebranded as Strike, now merged with Purplebricks), Nirvana plc and KAP HQ, for which I was shortlisted for an AJ Award. I am Matteo Scarpellini, an architectural designer with a deep passion for parametric design and sustainability, which was a central focus of my dissertation for the March RIBA Part 2 qualification at the University of East London. I am excited about the opportunity to work in the UK again, especially after having returned to Italy due to the COVID-19 pandemic. My experience involves in submitting planning application drawings and building regulation drawings for client's. My task is to take a full measured building survey which include taking sketches of elevations, floorplans and sections, then produce these sketches to scale into AutoCAD with site plan, block plan and ordnance survey where building regulation drawings is then applied accordingly.
