We used Michael at Royco Chartered Surveyors to submit plans and drawings on behalf if us for a gas flue, from the gas fire exiting the roof area. Michael attended at the home address at the agreed time and date and was very knowledgeable and put us at ease. He dealt with the Planning Department with Fife Council and regularly kept us up to date with how the application was progressing. Michael also answered any queries timeously. We had a very poor experience using Ross. Similar to what other people have experienced, once money was handed over we had months of not hearing from him and repeated excuses and lies when we tried to chase things up. We were having to check everything directly with the local planning office due to the lies he was telling. This is the worst experience we have ever had with a tradesman. We started our planning and building warrant application with him in 2019 and did not receive our building warrant until June 2022. We did receive the warrant in the end but it was an awful experience and months of stress and worry. This application should have been straightforward for somebody claiming to have the skills, knowledge and experience he claims he has. Working with Ross was really easy. He came in and asked us what we wanted and actioned a plan very efficiently. The whole process from start to finish was very quick and Ross had good communication between ourselves and the council about our permitted development.
