The brief we gave was to get change of use on the site and planning for as many units as possible. It was a very difficult site with 11 party wall issues, a dangerous structure fronting a public highway. The whole process was dealt with very professionally and successfully. We were taken through the planning procedures and felt confident and comfortable throughout the process. I am delighted with the final plans and the achievements made by Ackroyd and Assocs. I look forward to having the opportunity to work with them again and would not hesitate to recommend them.

We gave him quite a tricky job to try and make the most of a pretty tight space for a new bathroom, and Richard has been fantastic in coming up with a range of innovative solutions. He really knows his stuff, is very professional and easy to work with, and does exactly what he says he will and more, and all done very quickly and to a high standard. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Richard and X Design Studio, and in fact we've already asked if he can help us design some other areas of our house. Highly recommended.

Full rebuild of a Victorian mews home, including full front elevation, building an extra floor and all associated planning. Chris from Sand Architects was professional from the start, and brought really innovative ideas to the table. He doesn’t come across as your stereotypical architect, but more like talking with a friend who shares your vision. He then goes away and creates designs that are true to what you want, whilst pushing the boat out in ways you gladly take on board. He prepared plans that went through planning successfully, even with the plans going to committee. He helped me create my vision, whilst offering suggestions to both ease construction and create a home for the rest of my life. Outsourcing the process to him was the best decision I made in this project as he kept on top of it, was great with comms, and kept pushing it through planning which took that headache away from me. Needless to say, I’d recommend their services to anyone. Especially if you’re looking for something slightly quirky, but keeping within planning regulations. I was hesitant to hire an architect for this project, but I am very glad I did, and I’m especially happy I hired him.

This wasn’t the case, so I needed to put in a retrospective application. The drawings were excellent quality, a really fast and professional service.
