Bathroom walls tiling
Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 2.53 PM
How soon the bathroom walls can be tiled after plastering following the removal of the old tiles?
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Straight away if the the plaster is not newly done. If you have removed the tiles then skimmed the wall afterwards wait for it to dry completely, prime it, then tile it. 2 weeks is usually a good length of time to allow plaster to dry although by rights you should wait 6 weeks.

Ensure new plaster is fully dry before fixing tiles to it (4-6 weeks), I also always seal bare plaster whether new or not using an acrylic primer rather than solvent based.
