Do I need a FENSA Certificate for new windows in a House Extension?

I'm having a new extenstion to my house which includes one back door (UPVC), two windows and a Velux. These have been installed by my builder. Do I need a FENSA certificate? Not sure if my builder is FENSA registered. Or would the completetion certificate by building control be adequate? Any advise appreciated.
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

No, Fensa was set up, basically for registered companies that mainly fit replacement windows, so they could self certify their own work is to building regs standard... with-out having to go through Building control.

I agree with the other posts, Just to point out that there are other schemes that allow self certification of replacement doors windows and Roof windows, not just FENSA. I am in CERTASS, and there are many more government approved schemes out there. A call to your Local Building Control office will confirm any fears.

No you do not need FENSA as FENSA do not cover new build work. That will come under building control and building inspectors will ask to check that paperwork.
