Latest review:Painting & Decorating-We expected a professional team. What turned up was a husband and wife. They did minimal prep work to walls and wood work which showed in the final result. The woodwork is already peeling, less than a week later and the walls are not clean looking as he didn't sand or fill them properly. He has also painted over the tiles in my kitchen and left it. There was a complete section of wall in the bathroom left completely untouched. We arranged for them to return to finish the job and they told us by text after the expected arrival time (and after we had moved our whole living room around to prepare for them) that they were at another job. They didn't even call. They do not give themselves enough time to do a professional job and are happy to corners. Very disappointing. Photos show the state of the walls, the peeling wood work, the section left untouched in the bathroom and the painted tiles.

Latest review:Painting & Decorating-Darren was great. Contacted me and came to look at the job quickly. He gave me a detailed plan and quote for the work and I felt that Darren was honest and trustworthy with his quote. The work was completed within two weeks and Darren kept in contact within that time so we were aware of what was happening. Darren was knowledgeable about the work required and gave us options on the materials we could choose and use for the work. I felt like we were never pushed into unnecessary extras. The painting was completed in two days (as quoted) and to a great standard. Darren was tidy and reliable, turned up on time and was flexible around us. He returned to check on the work after completion and clearly wanted the work to be perfectly finished and to ensure we are happy with the result. I would recommend Darren for any painting jobs and will certainly use him again for any future work.

Latest review:Painting & Decorating-Jarek painted three rooms for me and a bathroom. My rooms were not a standard painting job as I wanted a specific design. He hand-painted a scallop ceiling in my daughter's room and stripes in my bathroom. I also wanted several colours in the living room and bedroom. Jarek was very skilful and I hired him for some extra jobs. He plastered my fireplace. He covered a chimney breast with plasterboards because I didn't want an exposed brick. He changed two taps in my bathroom. I would highly recommend him as I'm planning to hire him for a few more jobs around the house.
