Bill carried out some roof repairs to the house, including fixing paneling on a dormer window, replacing tiles and pointing my chimney, all were done very well. He also fitted a brand new roof on my garage called 'Firestone', its a rubber roof which is guaranteed for 30+ years. Again, he done a brilliant job. Overall, Bill was a very knowledgeable, helpful and trustworthy guy. I would recommend RL contracts to anyone!

Avoid this guy at all costs. Claims to have 30yrs experience behind him in the construction industry. This is not the case. He has no experience whatsoever. A DIY handyman would know more. Claims to have a a team of professional tradesmen, this again is untrue. He gets them through Gumtree and Mybuilder when required. Non of the tradesmen who he got for our project had ever worked for him before. They had no loyalties to him or ourselves. He was caught out telling lies to us and the tradesmen he employed. He actually told one of the tradesmen to tell us lies but that particular guy told us the truth and was honest. Unless you want a professional liar stay clear. Choose your tradesmen wisely.We were unfortunate!!

Hired Chris to do build porch extension that would give us a downstairs toilet. Though the job has been done it is of a completely shoddy standard. The problems we faced with Chris were: 1. Delays; he went way over the time he quoted and he constantly had excuse after excuse and every week promised a new deadline that invariably would not be met. Getting him back for consecutive days in the middle of the project was a nightmare as he had started work on another project. 2. His plumbing skills; Chris is absolutely terrible at plumbing from our experience. Every bit of pipe he touched had leaks after he had worked on it and we had to call in a reliable plumber we know to fix it all. To be fair, Chris agreed to the cost of the plumber coming off of his bill with no arguments. He also tried running the pipes for the new toilet from the kitchen tap to outside and along the outside walls. That was also fixed by our plumber. 4. Plastering; The plastering he done is awful. 5. Joinery; The skirting boards he put on are not a match for ours and they do not sit flush to the floor. In the toilet, the skirting is coming away under the sink. 6. Electrics; The wiring for the lights in the toilet and front door do not meet British Standards and are not earthed. 7. Damp; We are now having to hire another company to damp proof the extension and fix the elctrics. 8. Messy; He made a mess of our drive doing the rough casting and our new floor when he was plastering,

Really positive experience with Michael. Made our downstairs mid terrace open plan, putting in a picture frame steel support to knock through two rooms. Finished job is excellent. Quick to get organised and open communication throughout. It was our first building job in Belfast and Michael was extremely helpful in talking through the process and made everything a breeze. Absolutely zero issues and everything was hassle free from start to finish. Will be using again for sure!
