Michael did a job for me 3 years ago but the job was poorly done. He agreed a price for the job & I clarified that all the old stuff between my garden flags would be removed before new resin put in. He did not remove the old stuff as I found bits sticking out. He came back to remove these and 'top up' with resin. When I initially saw the finished result I was unhappy. Flags he reset were not level. These began moving again only weeks later. He came back several times to try to rectify at the time. However as it was poorly done (only a thin layer), the resin has been coming out in chunks (since a few months after the job) and I can now see that there is loads of loose chunks of mortar in the joints. The resin only works if the joint is totally clear & use 2.5cm deep of resin. My patio is a mess and I can't afford to sort it out again. I don't usually leave reviews but the last couple of years looking at my awful patio gets me down and I wanted others to avoid the same situation.

All way through he advised me on the best options and ideas I would not have thought of such as ensuring that any rainwater took the best path towards drains rather than merely ending up in the garden. Karl is a nice chap, has the skill but lacks time management and his finishing touch is poor unfortunately. He told me it’s going to be 2 man job but the 2nd person was not full time. So he did most of the job on his own and towards the end there was still lots to be done so unfortunately I got a rushed bolched job. He promised spot lights general but left the last room with same old light, part of the work was not completed but had to pay extra for it to be done. Did a nice kitchen and left space for fridge and washing machine but plastered the old sockets to the wall and did not leave any socket to plug the fridge, has to get an electrician out. Also no holes made within the cupboard to pass through the washing machine hose, had to get a plumber. Majority of the flooring and tiles in bathroom has not been filled. He did a ceiling in one of the room and there are leaks within a week. With the amount of money spent, I am disappointed that I still have to pay people to do extra bits and pieces. I am grateful that he tried his best and tried to complete the work. PBut I would have appreciate if he worked at a good pace and not rushed the job towards the end. Without good finishing touches, it looks like I had hired a Bob the builder.

Excellent work. The two-man team worked diligently and skilfully and with a helpful attitude, even through weather delays that were more frustrating for them than me. They tackled the inevitable unforeseen hitches with good humour and expertise, suggesting solutions along the way. And at the end of each day they left surrounding areas clean and tidy. David Fairhurst came to see the scope of the job and then sent a quote which was acceptable. He and his team started the demolition soon after I accepted the quote. The work was completed safely in 2-3 days even though the base which required breaking up was thicker than expected. All the concrete rubble was removed from site immediately after the demolition was concluded. They then installed a new fence, cleared up the site and pressure washed the drive to leave the site clean & tidy. I recommend David Fairhurst and his team for their work effort, skills and friendly nature.

I had a change of tenant in a property and there were a few jobs required before the new tenant could move in. Roman quoted and carried out the work without issue in the time allowed between tenants. He installed a new bath and mermaid panelling, diagnosed and cured a penetrating damp problem to the rear wall of the kitchen and carried out repairs to the chimney flashings. He also applied a coat of emulsion throughout the property. He will be my first call for the next job.
