Latest review:Damp Proofing-While Chris didn’t end up having to do any damp proofing, I was very impressed with his expertise, honesty and demeanour; he advised it was not worth us undergoing any expensive treatment which I doubt every tradesman would do in his position! Instead he gave us some great tips and advice we could follow ourselves to sort the problem, and even shared photos from his thermal camera with us to make our DIY job easier. I was also impressed how fast and easy it was to get him round to provide what would have been a free quote - he came on an evening just a few hours after being shortlisted which was most convenient for us. He also went out of his way to be quiet when I informed him of having just put my toddler to bed which was appreciated. I was certainly call on him again if we suspect a problem. Thanks!

He provided a detailed invoice, and clearly explained the work he would be undertaking. This was helpful and very reassuring! Simas outlined how long the job would take - and they completed on time. During the job, Simas and his partner ensured they were respectful of my property, tidied away their equipment and any mess at the end of every day and were mindful of the fact we were in-situ while the work was going on. I was very happy with the standard of the completed work - the damp proofing is guaranteed for 10years and I'm confident that I could contact Simas if I had any issues. I'm actually planning to book Simas in for another job so it was a very positive experience!
I appointed Uptop downunder to complete some damp repair to a bay window that involved plaster removal and replacement after a damp course had been added. I found David and Greg who did the work very helpful.
