I hired Dean Harper to fit a new bath and make and fit 3 cottage style doors As I live 200 miles away and the house is unoccupied I left him a key and paid all money up front as requested. Bad Mistake I returned when he eventually phoned to say the work was completed to find water coming through the ceiling where his new pipe work was leaking What a shock when I saw the doors a child could have made better The doors had been hung the wrong way round Wood was cut so badly edges were split and splintering Doors do not fit you can see daylight all round Won't shut flush as the struts are not cut all the same length and some are hitting on the door frames The wood has loads of nail & screw holes in where he had tried different ways to make and hang the doors then obviously given up These doors were meant to be made to measure! To top it all off he burnt the landing carpet where he laid his blow torch down whilst doing the pipe work in the bathroom When I phoned to complain he shouted and swore at me then put the phone down,he did phone back 10 min later to apologise saying he was stressed as he was having trouble with another customer. He said to take the doors off & leave them outside & he would refund the cost of the wood, he then said not to bother as he would only use it as firewood(that says it all)He has refunded the money for the doors & they are now being made by a real carpenter! Bath has had to be made secure as was moving

We were looking for a local plumber to sort out a couple of issues at one of our newly acquired rental properties. Dean was quick to respond and had a quote ready for us within hours His work was very thorough and done quickly We will be using Dean again for regular property maintenance in the future

Dean's great. Very friendly and highly knowledgeable. He went out of his way to come round as soon as possible and identify the problem. He's in the process of fixing the problem now and at a very reasonable price. I'd recommend Dean without reservation.

I hired Dean to re shape my existing kitchen and create me a washing machine point. He tackled the problem in a calm and professional manner and before the day was out we had a washer installed exactly where it was required. We chose Dean to do this job as he was one of the few who quoted who took the time to prepare an itemised quote and explain exactly where he may encounter problems. The problems he was faced with were not those he expected as the roof was of a different construction to the norm. He was unfazed and rapidly came up with a solution. The job was finished promptly with all rubbish removed and everything tidy. During the job he and Mark took the time to explain what they were doing and why it was necessary. We have yet to view the photos he took during the work but we know that he will further explain things then. We would have no hesitation in using his services in the future.

Dean is a friendly and trustworthy Tradesman. I trusted him with the keys to my house and after the job he cleaned up as if he had never been there. The job involved more work than we thought but Dean spent the time getting the job done perfectly and did not charge me any more for the extra time spent. I wouldn't hesitate to hire Dean again for future work as his need for perfection. his tidiness,very reasonable fees and being able to trust him is second to none. Highly recommend,from a very happy Client :-)

The work done by Dean was very good and of high standard, he arrived on time and never left any mess behind when he finished. Dean is friendly and trustworthy. although the job had its problems Dean was always calm which made me feel at ease. I will be recommending Dean to all my friends and family and will also be hiring him again for any other work that needs doing on my home. many thanks Dean.

Dean and Paul have been great through out our communication. Capping of my chimmney, lead flashing work and guttering work.The job was completed in excellent time and at an amazing price. i would recommend these guys to anyone and surely will to all friends and family for building work. i'll be using these guys again if i ever need any more jobs completing.
