The business was founded and started in Maidstone in 1997, in 2000 it was re established in Westgate On Sea, and we have been here ever since. Please note that we do not give estimates/quotes over the phone or by email. A visit to the property is essential for accurately priced work.

Very sly, very dishonest. Save yourself an awful lot of trouble and hire somebody else!
I paid him good money to make me a bespoke kitchen door. He took quite a lot of money for materials and he used very cheap timber and consequently it warped before he fitted it. (I was replacing the old door because it was warped)
He then refused to refund me or make another one.
On top of that he lied about every thing. He lied about his wife dying in hospital (he made the mistake of telling me where she was supposedly being treated and I checked. They had no record of her at all!), he lied about his van being broken into and having all his tools stolen, it went on and on, unbelievable!

R.H. Property Maintenance's reply:
Mr Sherwin seems to have changed jobs from gambler to detective
(1)The stock used, I was assured was of furniture building quality and I have no reason to doubt their word. They had to put it through a planner thickness-er to bring it down to imperil size for me, if there had been a problem they would have noticed and likewise when I collected it and checked it for faults I would have noticed any problems. The timber was acclimatized for 2.5 weeks before construction. The door was not warped on delivery or when it was fitted this has happened after fitting.
(2) The 3rd paragraph is also a lie as he is fully aware of the solution we have agreed to
(3) paragraph (4) Slanderous remarks which will be dealt with appropriately

Work History
I started out as a painter and decorator and remained as such until the recession in 1990.
The bottom dropped out of the decorating market, and after speaking to a very good friend he suggested learning other trades within the construction industry, beginning with something that the average DIY person would not be prepared to tackle (remember this is a recession in 1990).
So starting as a sub-contractor for a company I began with the removal of ceilings, and re-installing new ones, shortly followed by plastering, this had a snow ball effect on what I had to learn to be able to become a multi-trades man.
Now many years on from those bad times there are still trades that I cannot do myself, but I have very good connections with skilled tradesmen in their own fields, so no matter what the problem I may come up against there is always help at hand if needed.
Because of the skills that are available within this company it made sense to expand it and move up to restoration and refurbishment work, although we now take on the bigger jobs, we never forget our roots and how we got started, we take on small jobs, part finished jobs, etc. these are just as important to us as the bigger jobs, we really do not mind what we do.
We now also cover garden clearance in the respect of overgrown gardens.
We dispose of all kinds of shrubs, trees, brambles, all the tools used are petrol driven including the wood chipper which has a 13 horse power engine and has the ability and capability of dealing with up to 100ml thick branches, the chippings can be taken away or put back on the garden to rot down.
PLEASE NOTE we are not landscape gardeners by any means but we can certainly clear the ground ready for such a project.
So as you can see we are pretty diverse in what we do, and feel that we offer a very good service all round.
Take a look at our feed back and judge for yourself.
Many thanks for taking the time to read this and we hope it has helped you.
kind regards,
Rob
Qualifications & Accreditations
16 years hands-on experience prior to starting my own business in 1997.
We do not have any certificates to say we can do this or do that but we do appreciate that certain trades must have these certificates e.g Gas safety, etc.
Within my trade you need two degrees,
(The Masters Degree in Life and a Bachelors Degree in Common Sense)
coupled with a minimum of 10 years time served in your chosen fields.
There are no employees under the age of 35 who work on there own, although this may seem odd it helps to ensure that the tradesmen are time served. All are CRB checked.
We are a small family business & have been trading since 1997. We are fully insured & guarantee all our new works for one year.
We are multi trade and References are available for viewing
I have also been cleared for the ownership of an enhanced CRB check as I am also training to become a driving instructor.
