We appointed Paul to design a major extension to the downstairs of our home. The brief was to provide an open plan layout for a kitchen, dining and living area with maximum use of daylight and improved openness and visibility onto our garden. Paul came up with a wonderful and creative design that gives a great feeling of space and floods the room with lots of natural light, including an ingeniously angled side window that has everyone stopping to admire when they walk past our house. Paul managed the whole process for us, including initial design consultation, drawings and models, planning permission, tendering for builders and overall project management of the building process until completion which was a massive benefit to us as the only experience we had of this was the horror stories we had heard of others who had tried to do it themselves! He also gave us expert advice on the design of our kitchen, the lighting layout for the whole room and many useful ideas to maximise the use of space and show it off to its best advantage. Paul's handling of the whole project was brilliant and we have ended up with the most fantastic room which is practical and comfortable whilst providing a "wow" factor for our home that everyone comments on. We would have not hesitation in recommending Paul.

'Paul Vick architects listened to our needs and provided an elegant and forward looking design for us. The complex task of achieving planning permission for a modern addition to a grade 2 listed building in Westminster was made surprisingly simple for us. Paul went several extra miles to achieve this and in a relatively short time.' Neal Ashley, Client, former Chairman Amey Holdings
In August 2011, the new build low energy private house (silver standard AECB, with thermal capacity 3-4x greater than standard building regulations) in the west country that the practice designed was completed.
