Work History
34 years experience. Properly qualified & trained electrical engineer.
I originally trained as a TV & Radio engineer with the ITA completing a 5 year approved training scheme which involved three days per week at work and two days at college/polytechnic. After that I entered full time education for three years then worked for the semiconductor division of Texas Instruments as an electrical & electronics engineer which took me all over the world including the US, South East Asia and most of Europe. I gained vast experience in all sorts of electrical and electronics systems and have designed, tested and installed automated material handling systems, robotic equipment, machine vision systems and a range of instruments designed to test semiconductor and medical physics devices. I have also worked extensively with single phase and polyphase power systems including the design of smart power factor correction equipment for linear and non-linear electrical loads.
More recently (since Jan 2009)I have worked on domestic, commercial and industrial electrical installations after registering with the NICEIC.
