Well pleased with the work Robert and Alan carried out when fitting the thermal store and boiler. Pipework neat and tidy and the system clearly explained to me. Top marks.

Really happy with the work. Robert had clever ideas for fitting a boiler and getting a big water storage tank in the space, and was thoughtful about trying to pace the work so we went without heating and water for as short a time as possible, which was helpful as we have little kids. We also got all new radiators and again, good ideas on what size to install and where, was also happy to install an extra radiator we decided on relatively late in the process. Robert also helped with an issue we were having with a non draining shower. Everything works perfectly and our house is now lovely and warm. Would not hesitate to recommend, thank you!

I can highly recommend Alan, he managed to find what was causing the issue and fixed it, there and then, he is very friendly and chatty but keeps on the job. Thanks Alan

Lovely guys although had to come back and fix some mistakes they made a couple of times.

This started out as stripping out a utility room & kitchen installation and then I also asked Alan to re-fit an en-suite. Alan co-ordinated the various trades but I had a particular tiler I wanted to use and Alan's guys worked well with the tiler to enable the best work finish. Very happy with the end result.

Job done superbly...done in one day...great service...took away old boiler and tidied up....will definitely use again or recommended.

A bit of a mixed bag with Alan Kinghorn Plumbing & Heating: Pros: + Boiler installed to spec on time. + Stuck to quote, despite job turning out to be bigger than originally expected. + Alan, Robert and Michael were all very pleasant and friendly. + Addressed issues I had very quickly - a joiner was sent round the following day. Cons: - Little effort to tidy up, leaving the kitchen and bathroom in a state: surfaces & cabinets were filthy, floor needed swept, chairs had dirt and splinters on, bath and shower had dirty marks on them etc. - Used one of our kitchen pans to contain a leak, complete with black residue, and didn't wash up. - Plumber left with my house keys on the Friday, rather than leaving them in the property, and didn't return them until Sunday. - Boxing for vertical pipes was damaged and not replaced. - Old boiler flue left sticking out of the wall. - Fairly extensive damage to our floors: lino had to be scrapped (fair enough), and a channel was cut through the floorboards rather than lifting them in sections, the joiner they sent commented "they must have had a bad day". To be fair to them on the last point: they reckon they couldn't have gotten the floor up without pulling the cabinets out, but the job they did was somewhat shoddy regardless. All in all I got the boiler I asked for at a price I was quoted, despite them having to do a lot extra work, but I feel communication and professional courtesy was a little lacking. Stuart
