Ian and his team did a fantastic job on my house.
I had 3 big jobs that they worked on:
1) Remove load bearing wall, inserting steel beam, add fireproofing, firedoor, extend electrics and plaster.
2) Convert 2 cupboards into a shower/wc - including new external soil stack; underground drain changes; new shower+basin+wc; electrics; plumbing and lots of plastering
3) Remove a corner chimney, adding beam and hiding soil pipes under floor.I chose Ian back in Jan, and was delighted that he stuck to my target start date in July.
The team worked on all 3 jobs at the same time. I was very impressed with their skill, speed and determination to tackle all challenges (such as the complex modification of joists to enable long soil pipes to go under floor and later correcting leaks from a mispositioned shower door.)We now have a lovely extended kitchen and a great new internal shower/wc - without needing a dreaded saniflow.
Ian is very trustworthy, hardworking, keeps in good contact and is keen to ensure the customer is completely satisfied. He also employs some good tradesmen - especially the plasterer and electrician.
I highly recommend Ian and team; and hope they will return next year to tackle a few more challenges.

Work History
Myself, Ian Johnson previously worked for larger corporate construction entities, specialising in domestic extensions and new house building. My background was a fully qualified advanced level 3 bricklayer and a hardworking multi-skilled tradesman.
Since 2007 I have been self-employed, can provide references back to his first customer, and has won most of his work since then by referal.
In April this year, i am hoping to move into a partnership and turn ltd so Customers still enjoy the same level of customer care while we are expanding and IWJ building services pride themselves on returning competitive quotes in a timely fashion.
If a builder cannot return a quote on time, how do you expect them to finish your job on time?
We offer you an open invitation to get to know us. Come and meet our previous clients in person, and view our quality of workmanship.
Get to know us, we will not disapoint with our freindy service..
