AG Plumbing sorted the leak in the bath. However he then reached out to say additional work was required. He asked that I change the floorboard under the bath, replace bath, tap and shower glass panel for over £2150 + vat. I was not satisfied with his responses to my queries so I asked him to meet with me at the property. I travelled down there (over 3hrs journey) but he did not show up. It turned out that while the board under the bath was damp from the previous leak, the wood was solid and did not require replacement. There was also no need to change the bath, tap and shower glass panel. I cannot in good conscience recommend him to others.Answer from tradesperson:
Hi Very surprised by this 😳 We was called out to your rental for a ongoing leak from bathroom to hallway after investigation we found leak to be on bath waste pouring through every time shower / bath was used which we replaced - on investigation we noticed the floor under bath which rotten / soaking wet through There was also a lot of movement in bath, shower screen seal was poor too You wanted a one time fix with no further issues so we recommend further work I’ve attach a couple of pics taken of flooring, I have more pics if required I understand it’s a rental and u want to keep costs down to a minimum. Also you went to property to assess the damage yourself not to actually meet me. Hope you got it all sorted now Regards
